The most important topic of the last session of the week were data from the US labor market. Fearing further strong readings, the dollar exchange rate began to strengthen a few hours before their publication. Data on non-farm payrolls fell very strongly (+339,000). This is the 14th reading in a row exceeding analysts' expectations.
Let's do a little recap of recent US data. What works for the Fed's hawkish policy is certainly very strong employment data overall. After that, data on inflation pointing to its slow decline. The Fed often prefers the “Core PCE” term, which is also on the rise. In turn, the higher unemployment rate (still low) and the slowdown in wage growth speak for a pause in the hikes. In addition, we also have a weaker ISM from industry.
What will be more important for the Fed? It seems that more up-to-date, forward-looking data. So we can put aside the unemployment rate and the industrial ISM, which has been recording results below 50% for some time. Our bias on the EUR/USD rate remains moderately downward, despite the initiated rebound attempt.
If on the EUR/USD daily chart the oscillator enters the overbought zone, and it is not accompanied by further, dynamic increases - we will look for opportunities to SELL.

Well, Friday surely sucked up a lot of the momentum from bulls. Let's see what this pair opens at.

Although EURUSD price action on the daily time frame is presently sideways, the technical structure is bearish. Price action is navigating the 61.8 Fib zone of the recent bearish swing on the weekly time frame.
