{quote} This is a good idea, and first of all I would recommend the website of "roulettetrader#com", where you can study some forex systems .. {image}

Hi Swingman - do you think these strategies have merit? have you used them?

No, I didn't use any of the strategies.

There are several variants that can be used as ideas for trading, but because I haven't studied the algorithms of the signals, I can't say anything.

hi everyone,
I do tests (real account) doing what I assume is hedging:
buy when the market is going up and sell when it is going down (basically), -don't hit me too hard for this -
there are no indicators, only the opening of the day, week and month,
and some interesting% as a target
nothing technical, 80-90% MM

i've been doing this since January 1, first with 1 pair, then 2, then 3, now with 4 pairs,
about 250 operations in total, for now the annual return will be greater than 100%

if you know what, when, how and how much to do, there is no stress
i don't have too many expectations regarding this strategy, because to many people it seems like an "aberration",
but it is what I have at the moment ...

best regards

100% profits is good results

for me hedging means buy strong stock and sell weak stock from the same sector. I hedge with MSFT (buy) and IBM (sell).

saw people think when open BUY and then when dd for the same asset open SELL - they tell it is hedging. For me it is just freezing losses and wait for better market conditions and try to exit by closing one position. dont know is it realy hedging - im newbie too

@fex and @gepards, I understood that unlike many members of the forum who know everything, you test ideas with possible hedging variants.

The basic idea that one freeze a DD and if there is a new positive expectation, one should trade again is OK.

From my last studies in another thread:
- One should try to study the idea of sliding hedge, it is an interesting variant.

- One should also try to study the trading variants of the FractalKiss idea with the BodySwitch indicator. Anyone who follows the trend on D1 and the signals on H1 can make very interesting observations every day...

Thanks, I'll look at those variants

It is just an experiment, but it is turning out to be more interesting than expected

no technical analysis, no fundamental, no bias ...
just a "line in the sand" which is the opening of the day,
above buys, below sells, this is how each operation begins (basket) ...
then only MM: where , how much and objective ...
"risk control" only

each operation usually takes about 3 days on average to close

I can't quite believe that there is someone consistent over time with such a method,
but for now they are the results of my experience after 250 baskets closed positively.

these are the last and present operations on the 4th battlefield (USDCAD)

best regards

I am currently trying to program an EA with a diagram constructor since it is not programmed, for more than a year I have been working on this project and whenever it seems that I find the holy grail, martin gala eats all the profits and the entire account Now after quite some time I have a renko candle based system that stops running when it reaches an expected monetary profit. It's only been two days that I'm testing it and it appears if it is working as expected, now it is necessary to find the correct configuration so that the winning operations are at least 60% to have a moderately successful system.
the current settings of the image are
2.5 pip Renko candle
Initial LT 0.01
TP 8 pips
SL 4 pips
Total expected profit is 5 USD or higher (as the martingale sometimes does not respect the expected profit it can end up with more profit than expected due to the size of the LT)
Currently I have opened a Demo account to test other configurations and finally analyze which is the most profitable in the medium and long term.
Operations of 12/21/2021 EURUSD

Out of 22 trades in total only 7 are winners and 15 losers which is a bad indication that the EA needs to improve, we will be working on it in the coming months
sorry but i don't know english so i use google translate

I know that this thread has been sleeping for 7 months now, but it is an interesting subject, so I write my idea.

I do the NoLoss approach. So if you hit a stoploss, then you start the hedging machine until there is no longer a loss. I don't push it to make a win - just removing the loss. So if my normal trading strategy has a win rate of 60%, then i have to hedge the last 40%. Of those 40% maybe 80% will close in no loss and now rest 8% which have to go to a hedge number 2.

Using the correct timeframe for each trade is vital and it will differ from trade to trade.
Taking random trades as the first trade is a bad idea. You have to optimize the possibility for the trade getting right the first time, when usin my NoLoss hedging method.

I have not used this hedging method yet and it is a while ago that i had time to think of it. A short back test showed that i never had to go further than 4 hedges. I also had a stop of number of hedges. Don't remember the number right now.

I made the EA, but never found time to test it. But i am surely planning to do it.

One very important thing is, that at some point you must remove some profit from your account in order to be able to make a restart if you experience that all money has been used.
Read post #1 !! Then read it again 10 more times before you ask.
