Ha good days and bad days equates to BE mostly boss. I am still searching for consistent positive profits and it is very elusive. My main signal is macd 5,13,1 crossing zero but going with the MA trend on the daily charts. I am also using a bot to scale my positions in and lock BE as quick as possible. Testing different SL and TP configurations. I hope this year will see some improvements.

Price seem to be struggling between two strong resistance and support lines from my side here; and though this is a counter trend trade I have taken; nonetheless, I am still holding short - cheers

Good trading logic you have found, every trader has his edge for sure, also getting a nice setting for partial profit and then setting other positions to BE and watch the market do its thing is one edge that I have over this wild forex market - so TPs and SLs configuration is a very very important aspect of trading, they must be modestly tackled for success to emerge as well

For now, I just do simple analysis and take trades upon that, over the years I have found that there are a lot of logics to trading forex which are very enticing, and as well very distracting and destructive and can make once learning/success cure very terrible; you just keep discovering new interesting things which lures your soul into endless backtesting and searches burning your energy out and keeping one in a state of confusion or indecision - please as you work hard for success just keep what I have said in mind to guard and guide you - check your inbox later today;

Hey!
Nice one; I took out nice pips form this one as well; do not mind the extra MA, I try as much as I can to avoid adding extra things to Phillip's system, because if you do, then you have to begin learning afresh how the new idea or tool influences all aspects of the 4 Hour macd strategy; I just plugged that extra moving average there to clarify on what someone said about market bias; but Phillip system keeps taking all those ideas into consideration, and that for me is very interesting!

First profit hit and have set 2nd position to break even.

Market Rhythm is the key!

Entry setups can fail multiple times but the unique flow of the market/price remains consistent. So when entry setup is in confluence with the rhythm of the market, the great things begin to happen.

Update:
An interesting "war" is going on between the market and my trading strategy and analysis.
I as well took that 2nd entry opportunity I mentioned earlier with that tail that was a bit close to my stoploss as shown by the arrow in my chart below.

I am not giving in to the grumpy and trouble weather of price activity. I can't even remember the last time I changed my decision or reversed my trade direction because of a grumpy weather of price action

One key to trading success is to remain consistent with your trading plan and strategy irrespective of how the market weather looks like

After all every trading strategy well built should have the following:
1. Win rate
2. MDD - maximum draw down
3. Loosing and winning streaks
4. Profit factor
5. ROI - return on investment, etc
So once the points above are covered and they are all positive, then the trader should humbly abide by his trading plan, analysis and strategy.
I hope this piece of information will heal the trading foundation of many traders.
