One trick I used for a long time and maybe even still do to keep myself at trading related tasks, which is very long and boring and tedious, is to make it more exciting by engaging on social media about it, spouting my opinions and analysis/charts. The truth is other traders sicken me, if for no other reason than I find most people annoying, and I definitely don't fit in, so often times it turns against me and ends up just making me have a bad day. But when I use it best is when I just use it to post stuff I'm doing and don't really pay attention to what other people are doing unless I'm feeling very happy and friendly. Also, sometimes I fantasize about posting non-stop 6 figure days and getting my revenge on everyone who doubted me or crossed me and telling them to go fuck themselves. And when I'm doing some intense work on trading that pumps me up while I rant about the technical conditions as I drudge through my spreadsheeting and whatnot

Motivation is like food, you need it every day. One time motivation which got you started on the path of forex trading is not enough to get you through it. You need to remind yourself why you started, what your goal is, do you still want to achieve it. If the answer is yes, you should motivate yourself to keep going. Reading success stories charges me up, and also setting small goals and achieving them.

i just like your post especially the first sentence " Motivation is like Food" its completely true , there is no motivation which will motive you for all time , you can consider this process as like a battery which need charge after some while. so it is more appropriate to keep motive self by doing regular good activates. otherwise the result of this process can be useless. thanks

Nothing motivates you like the first money you receive on a real account.

It’s not easy to keep yourself motivated especially when you are a newbie, and you lose more trades than you actually win. Still the feeling that I can free myself from the shackles of a 9-5 job keeps me motivated. There is no other career where you can make a lot of money and at the same time can be flexible in your job. I love traveling. I believe that this is the only job which can allow me to travel the world and comfortably pay my bills.

Trading is fun. You think Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger are not motivated?

The question is about newbies and not professional traders. Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger are not new traders. They have decades of successful experience and it’s rare to lose motivation when you are good at something. Lack of motivation is often felt by beginners who are losing more than they are earning.
