Hi Fellows, for a Person living in the USA (California, Pacific time), in your experience, which hours are the preferred to trade and which pairs, minimum 3, max 5.

Thanks

Best hours to trade would be from 12AM-9AM Pacific time. London session opens up at 12AM and then the market really starts to dry up when London closes and it's lunch time in New York. If you are day trading I recommend focusing on the pairs with the lowest spreads so EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/JPY are the main ones I would focus on

9-12 in the morning. This has the most volume and also the most moves. Then again if you're more a trend trader maybe the afternoon as the move has happened and you can then trade that direction.

I agree with these times. You'll just have to look and see which currency pairs are moving during these times.

If you want to trade in the evenings then from about 3pm to around 9pm would be the Asian and Australian open. Then shortly afterward comes the London open.

Really the only down time would be from 10am to about 4pm.

Living in the US I've found great success just trading during the US session opens 9:30am est. I used to try staying up for london session but my sleep patterns were thrown out of wack. I catch more than enough pips just focusing on those time. Start with a few pairs that are USD based like GBPUSD and USDCAD. Hope this helps.

Sleep is important. You are wise not to sacrifice good health for pips.

If you are a night owl, the london session, otherwise the New york opening would be the next highest volatility and good time to trade.

The best time to trade has a positive impact on trading. In the forex market, there are golden hours and days that all traders must search for. It is certain that the best selection of those days, hours, and times will reward you a hundred times better than usual.

Usually get up around 1-2am, and trade no later than 2pm EST.

But now, I look for only one good trade, with a side bet/capper for fun that I open while my main trade is going, off an active interday pair's movement.

I never thought that this particular watch is considered the most successful.
