Interesting approach Swingtrade65 so I decided to give it a go.Orange line from the H1 signal on UC. Got stuck for a target on H4 or D1 so decided to watch it for a turn round also trail stop active above the top channel. Closed it for +36. Nice one. Just need to repeat it now.

Does anybody have any rules for targets/SL? Not keen on trading without set targets/SL

CADJPY LONG..............

It's the -50 levels cross for me......

Reasons for taken the trade:
1. The big breakout candle from the channel.
2. The -50 levels cross.
3. The wide Daylight.

How about a TP of 2X your SL and a SL above the last swing hi/lo or just above/below the channel.

Me too got +22pips...... manually exit the trade...... If for any reason I didn't close my trades at London close........I make sure I close them before NY close......this serves as a rule for me.

The steps look sensible,but all indicators produce lag even MT4 has a lag lol...price action is the only killer for lag,to defeat lag you need a naked chart....but anyhow here is my question...what if the 5mins entry has a buy then goes into a deep retracement like gold did about 67 pips,as long as the H1 candle does not close below the low of the channel the buy position we can say is still valid? However the H4 and Daily targets already established before looking at the M5 entry......this question is all i have ,thanks.

OK...so here goes. If you check out the 2 charts below, you will see I have noted how it would/should have been traded from my perspective.
So if you waited for the entry, it goes sideways for a couple of hours before it moves higher. Hope this helps

-EDIT: As a side note, everyone should take the time to look at the past 100 entry arrows for the markets they trade and find out what percentage of time you retrace immediately after the signal bar....Hint: it is much higher thank you might think.....also, think how this statistical information might be useful in YOUR trading plan

Excellent illustration,thank you,it is complete sense now on the patience for waiting on the other M5 cross.

Apologies for not posting much lately. Been pretty busy with a few things, so I've mainly been keeping an eye on the thread and loving all your great trades.

Didn't sleep well so had a couple of Dow trades during the night. +102 over the two trades.

Things to note:
1. The dashed line is the previous day's high. Notice the clear rejection of that level.
2. Because of that rejection, I anticipated my first short entry before the actual cross and before daylight existed.
3. Added once my original position was safely in decent profit.
