Yes, the downtrend looks weak so I consider to exit the trade by BIGE rule. On the other side it will probably continue down as you say. I will take a look at the 5M chart to look for more information.

Or simply go for the charting platforms' own coding languages.

MQL4 is amongst the lowest level of programming language and has no adjustment in logic to fit charting application, but is still the most popular because of its adaptation in MT4.

The programing languages in newer charting platforms are so high level that the learning curve is dramatically shortened and can read it like English. Commands and algorithm logics are more customized for charting purpose, especially when addressing new candle formation.
*Add: Most of those languages are evolved from C, so it is not that difficult to transfer the skills to the next platform in the future.

Anyway, AU and GU has a reversal setup almost completed. Am waiting for the downswing to confirm and buy when conditions are met. If your EU sell is still on may as well hold it for a bit longer and reevaluate

One big reason that trades on the H4 tend to give larger profit is because the retracement that occurs on smaller TFs, such as H1, would end your trade due to the green going flat, hooking over, etc., that when viewed on the H4, are simply "absorbed", with the green only seen to change if using the real time TDI. This is why I say that the higher TF has a lot of "slop" in it. If you actually watched the floating amount of pips, it will, of course, be the same no matter the TF. And if you had a limit on how many pips you were willing to give back, then you would for sure be exiting most of your H4 trades much sooner than the TDI green signal to exit.

If you recall, BigE even said that if he were looking at his charts and saw 15-30 pips being given back, he would exit. But if he were sleeping and had some big amount given back or even went into floating drawdown, "So what--I don't know about it."

I think you have a point here with that the exit rules to BigE are made for 4H timeframe. I think exit when TDI going flat or hook up is to restrictive in weak trends. For example to day in EURUSD 1H downtrend. If we going down on 5M/15M we will see that the pullbacks are large. Therefore I decided not to exit with BigE rule today on 1H EU trade. Instead I decided to exit if I got a close above the round number 1.19000. With BigE method I think the most difficult part is the exit rules.

Maybe a solution could be to manage the trade taken on 1H on the 4H and exit when the trade going 15-30pips against the entry?

I was not thinking about programming indicators/EA but for analyzing trading data.

If your analyses are rather simple, then a spreadsheet application is enough. But if they are more complex, even if you could do them with a spreadsheet, it will be easier with a language like Python. In addition, it will be easier to expand your analyses and options for displaying results.

gold price 1916 is probably the high of this year.
we may not see price break this level.
Lower I can see 1400 level, most of the expert are calling 1500 level.

Beginning of the year Mr. Williams. predicted gold price will go 2400 level
