Do you remember when i was insanely active in this thread, sniffing all around and asking continously classic neophite questions...?

My first post here was written on May 14, 2018. It's been three long years, years that have been crucial for me as a developing Trader. Now, you haven't seen me for a while, basically because at some point i have understood that if you want to become succesful in this industry, you have to work your but-off like the hell, and master Yourself for first, because if you don't do that, you can't master the markets. Plus, this has to be a stand-alone path, nobody can help you. I have studied 7/7 3/8 hours a day for 3 years, i can guarantee you. And at the end it paid off.

I was just a dumb retail with empty pockets and an internet connection. Now i am a less-dumb Retail who trades with 0 risk in a so-called "Prop Firm", and i can make a decent living from that; Looking to go forward to 500k capital and joining Axi Funding Program too in 2022. Why i am writing it? Because i started from here and you have been part of my journey and I thought you should know where i am now and where i'm heading...

I don't trade any of the techniques showed here, but in this thread i learned an important lesson: that you don't need to make 300 pips a week. All what you need it's 30/50 pips a week on a constant basis to become successful. Risking 0.50% every 10 pips, this is the 2.5% average on a week... on a 100k account, this is 5/8k month, calculating the losses. Compounding will do the rest.

For the readers:

Patience. Patience. Patience. Hard Work. Harder Work. Sharpened Psychological Profile. Paradigm Shift. Perfect Mindset. Perfect Risk Management. Determination. Ignoring the Naysayers. Building Good Habits. Build Technical Skills. Get rid of the fear. You "only" need this in order to become succesful. Remember that you have to survive where 95% surrender because they can't handle the pain, the pressure and the fear... not a game for weak. I hope this will help you somehow

Great to hear from you again, old friend. Glad to have been maybe some small part of that journey towards success. You have always had that success inside of you, you just had to find your own way to get it out.

Thank you my friend. I think i'm on the top of the roller coaster now; I survived to the most hard and steep part. Now i have just to follow my trading plan/ mental work infrastructure, and get bored. Because i figured out successful trading isn't exciting. If it is exciting maybe it's due to overleveraging

Good to see you back and with a success story in a relatively short time which is great. Don't disappear again let us know how you get on - it's interesting.

You figured it out that money management is the key.

Which prop firm are you using just out of interest ?

I just assumed it would be the same one. They seem to operate their criteria quite a ways differently to (most others).

Mr-G...was this difference why you went with them? I don't like the idea of someone telling me what kind of trading they want me to use, based on ''AI''. Again, as Claudia, just curious, you owe us no explanation.

Music day tomorrow get thinking lol. Mr G appearing out of nowhere got me thinking - we have lost some good contributors such as Hickson and Soccerfan. Even Sheppy gone quiet.

Hello Claudia! Maybe calling it a success story it's too much, but hey i have survived, i'm keeping studying and improving while earning and doing something i like..!

I am actually trading with FTMO, but i would like to join AXI too because there are a few of things that i don't like much about FTMO:

1) They provide you with a Demo Account connected with their Live account. They copy your trades, or at least that's what they are claiming. Beside of that, i never had problem with them and they always pay. FTMO it's a very good opportunity for undercapitalized Skilled Traders because if you know how to trade, you can access to 200k capital in Max 4 trading months, paying 1k fee; Fee that returns back after the first month of profit share. You can also follow a scaling plan and reach 400k capital in 16/20 months if you're good. They add 25% every 4 months if you're up of 10% at the end of a 4month trading cycle. Still a pretty good deal! A win-win condition and a life changer.

2) Real Prop Firms/Classic Prop Firms works in a different way and they doesn't profit from all the fees that the traders pay for the challenges (93% fails) but i'm sure you can tell me more about it. First of all i think they give you access to live accounts, then, they don't ask to the traders to pay a fee for doing a "Challenge" that last 1-4 months maximum. I don't know. Their business model isn't completely transparent, and there's something that i'm missing.

But, i have also to say that in the month of May they paid 1,3kk from USD accounts only, so maybe they're really copying the trades. Plus, they are in the business since 2014. Maybe i am too much suspicious.

3) In the last 2-3 years , a lot of those "prop firms" around the internet are popping out like mushrooms... Where do they take all those money?

4) AXI provides you with live funds and there is a 6 months track record required with a live accounts, no time limits, no challenges: it's another story

Anyway i will continuing trading with FTMO as long as possible, because it's convenient for me and they have claimed the willing to become an international investment company open to the public, an hedge fund. If it will happen, and i hope yes, i want to be with them. Plus, they have increased the maximum allocation to 400k something like 3 months ago. It was 200k. They are growing fast, i think they will increase the maximum allocation to 800k/1kk within 3 years if all goes good.

AXI it's a way for "diversify" the risk because i don't understand 110% those Prop Firms business models and i want to have a Plan B in case they sink

My feeling is a decent move North in the short/medium term but beyond that? A drop and bounce?

High broke and moved 21 Pips from there before it turned again. A buffer of 3 Pips therefor probably would have missed a TP of 20 Pips in my case. As i understood from your earlier posts TP/SL 20/10 is what you use.

Now do you let the range break expert taking and managing the trade for you completely on autopilot? Do you actually use it live now? As far as i understood you wanted to? Then what are you doing in such case? Maybe trailing the stop up every X Pips as long as price is moving in your favor or simply letting it either crash the SL no matter it moved maybe a +16,17,18,19... already but then turned before hitting +20.

I have been viewing this thread from time to time, but with the time difference I was unable to stay in touch with the London session....
Asian session is so slow, so I have been sticking with my Set & forget method on the S&P 500 and the ASX 200...quite good for me as it is mechanical.
Great to see some Euro football going on & the UK lockdown easing, hope you'll get out and about...
who are we cheering for..?? LOL
We've been fortunate here in Oz, a few state lockdowns but only one brief one where I live,
