Change the lot size to 0.1 lots during news =D

All I'm doing is changing my risk profile. More money is being allocated to the news-type trading and less money to the trending/ranging type trading.

Has the system been successful over the 18 months?

The system makes money, no doubt, but as with the vast majority of systems for free on FF, you need to understand where the system thrives, and to make sure that the system is in it's element. All of tKimble's systems require a highly defind trend to make money. So, avoid any pairs or other situations where it's ranging.


This one is similar to the OzFx system, but aims for longer (3-week) trends.

Visually determining trending vs ranging is easy.

The hard part is implementing that into a system

It's easy enough to determine the chage from ranging to trending. Just look at any standard rainbow

But every system I have have seen, and there are some good ones about, works either in 'the range' or during trending. But it's the change that stings each system.

Are you saying that the rainbow will 'give you the nod' as to which sytem to use ranging/trending?

It's not a perfect solution, but it's the best one I have.

No, you would go back to page 1 and read the first 5 pages of this thread. and also, use the OsMA color indicator, not the default one. Its on post #29.

Currently, I use this indicator with a couple other ones, it tends to lead trends a little.

Hi, As simple as this strategy is I don't really understand it. Can you explain: The current price bar MACD is greater than the previous price bar MACD value. Does this refer to the histogram? Where would you place your TP.

not sure if you're still looking, but i'm looking to use it. I added in a 200SMA on the 1D so if it its above the 200SMA on Day I looking for buys on 1h and below 200SMA on day i look for sells only. Then I look at VWAP for entery, wait for it to be above the 50 period vwap on sell and below on but and then look at no lag MACD indicator to enter... seems pretty solid so far. looking at 20 to 30 PIP stop and 3:1 or 5:1 reward to risk. still looking. would love to look at this more with others if anyone is interested.
