Sorry I spend a total of maybe 2-4 hours on trading and maybe an hour on this thread. I'm not going to take time to write summaries and overviews. You can put in the time and read the thread or not, up to the individual. I always answer questions that people ask and will continue to do so. I spent years learning to trade, so if you want to be successful put in the work. Sorry if this seems harsh, but I have a life outside of this thread.

This is a final post on trading indices futures. Again today was a very easy huge day, but understand this is not the usual. Mostly on indices you get a lot of back and forth PA and smaller winners. Some may ask why I got out of theses trades, simple answer I didn't want to trade anymore. I want to play with my niece Joy

Still not getting up early and not exactly my kind of PA day but took 4 trades. Always nice to get a couple of GBP trades as they trend to be larger winners.
Painful to watch the idiocy of Trumps supporters yesterday, man is a stain on our countries history.

Hello,

I have a question rockypoint, on gbp/nzd, can you explain why you didn’t bought on the top of the Green candle at 7.40 ?
(Yellow point on my screen shot)
At this moment GBP was strong and the chart was looking at what you use to trade.

Thank you.

Sorry I took so long to reply. Simple was looking at a bearish divergence first of all, second reinforcing the divergence uptrend was over 6 hours old which is a long time in day trading. So divergence, length of up trend hints toward fading the trend as most viable option. Hope that helps.

No fx trading for me, as you know don't like to trade NFP. Did trade indices which wasn't a great idea, Picked off 149 ticks on the Dow and lost 152 on Nasdaq.
Stupid trades, why because Dow was a Short and Nasdaq a long. If I played S & P also a long bigger loss. So conflicting data should've said Dude stay out, but didn't listen.

Thank you, it helps a lot.

I use the forex power indicator to identify the best currency to choose, and i look at the 4 latest hours.
Do you recommand to look at smaller period ?

[quote = rockypoint; 13348050] Stále som nevstával skoro a nebol to môj úplne PA deň, ale vzal som 4 obchody. Vždy je pekné získať pár obchodov GBP, pretože majú tendenciu byť väčšími víťazmi. Bolesť sledovať včera idiotstvo priaznivcov Trumpov, človek je škvrnou v histórii našich krajín. {image} {image} {image} {image} [/ quote]

I have a question for you what kind of stop loss you use

I check the 4hr, 1hr and 15 min. readings

I use a regular stop loss that ranges at start from 10-20 pips depending onhow PA looks.

Vacation time over, tip toed back into trading this morning. Only traded indexes trades were fast movers got in on sharp moves down and out on big candles turning against me. Were some fx trades available but my platform was having fx issues this morning so trading was stopped for a couple of hours.

Well I finally got up early again, up at 4:45, it's been awhile. Today was a USD day basically all join the trend trades. Sinle currency days are usually good ones and so it was today. Big index drop at 7:30 no plays for me don't like entries on huge candles. Plus going out at 8 shopping with the wife.

On a non thread note very happy to see Trump gone, but worried about whats happened to the Republican party. They seem to have gone down the rabbit hole.
It doesn't bode well for democracy when one party seems to have shifted to a cult of personality.

Ok today was just a gift from the gods lots of trades available took maybe half of what I saw. First trade I took whipsawed me out really quick for a 15 pip loss all the others worked beautifully. Also traded indexes today which had close to to perfect set ups for entry, still in those trades with stops in place so profits locked in.

Index trades today were close to perfect set ups, for big wins. Thanks to all the little retail traders kicking some big hedge funds asses to the tune of billions. The nice part of trading the indexes for me is seeing the volume, which make decisions much easier.
