Columbus day today. I wonder if that'll have any effect on slowing the market. EDIT: Seems to be running alright.

It seems many of you have turned to the DOW. With volatility down, have any of you moved back to the NQ?

NQ running like normal. ATR around 7 at the moment. Friday was between 4 - 6, even at the open. Just not sure i can get hang of the gap nature of DOW.

May I ask ATR of which chart? And is "7" refer to the # of points?

I did two trades on the MNQ today. -18 points on first and +40.25 points on the second, so +22.25 points, which is +89 ticks. MNQ quite a mover! I futzed up moving my stop loss on the ToS chart. I did not mean to exit where I did. I like to trail the stop when no obvious resistance to use as a TP. I am going to need a new broker if I am going to keep trading these futures. Commissions very high and charts are great but the trading functions themselves not so great.

..Sierracharts favoured by many here..ninjatrader too - i'm still using tradovate which is fine for what i need for now.

Missed one set up but caught this last one for my last trade of the day for another 38.5 points or +154 ticks. That puts me +243 ticks today. I wish I had been trading the full sized NQ!
