I only test indicators and templates - till I achieve the impossible. Some days are very easy to make good money and others you have to sit back and be patient.
Today would have been easy as basically from 2pm to 3.30pm UK time the Dow was up.
At the moment I am trying to refine an already good template and whilst it gives more accuracy it gives more things to check before entering - on a 1m scalping chart it needs more pairs of eyes than I have!
I agree with your 'saying' trade what you see'.

Hope you find your perfect settings. If it's working for you keep digging at it.
My way of approach is...
Market structure
Support resistance /supply demand
Price action.
It took a long while, now can trade any chart naked.
I do enjoy watching plain candles chart.

I passed the challenge and verification with FTMO, singed the contract and got a funded account. In the contract, it specifies specifically what instrument/s you are allowed to trade.
I was only allowed to trade CAC40 CFD with Admiral Markets, because that was all I traded during the verification.
Unfortunately, it was during the large sell off due to this Carona virus, and selling the CAC40 CFD was prohibited at Admiral Markets.
Just being able to buy, I stayed withing risk parameters but ended small loss.
So that was that.

I haven't payed for another challenge, and don't plan on ever doing so.

That thread is active as fck, and making bank for Thomas and friends. But you need to worry about making bank for yourself. You do not need them.

I can't wait to get back to futures, I am looking at topstep and earn2 trade.
Cannot afford my own funding now... may be next year.
Own funds or funded , i gotta fix my trading psyche.
I paid £1500 for ftmo to find my errors, no regrets whatsoever i will keep digging one way or other.
Persist.

I don't know enough about the situation, but it seems to me that the issue is really with Admiral Markets. Clearly they take the other side of their customer's trades and do not want to do so for those who are wise enough to trade with the trend, in the flow of momentum, or in the direction of the path of least resistance.

As far as FTMO goes, maybe you could pass the dollar amount trading the CAC40 before the number of days trading limit. And then trade all the other markets you might want to trade with a very small size.

This is a really strange rule. While I believe that most traders are trading far too many Markets, it would be very possible that only one Market is tradable during the challenge. And if a "smart" trader only traded the market that was moving, or more broadly, the only Market that was conducive to his trading style at the time, he would ultimately be hamstrung for doing the right thing.

It sort of sucks, I'm a Sierra Charts guy, as were you at one point. But you can't use them with any of the funded (Prop) trader programs.

That's the main reason still holding onto it.
Merrit Black 's Apteros trading offers Sierra, but new to business much costlier compared to others.
