Meditation on some Trendlines.
They used the news to revert the Market Up.

I don't know how to objectively classify the waves inside the Cycle but I don't care much.
The structure is self evident.
That Wave 3 Up hits my eyes with its power.

Yesterday evening, after my musical post 4655 , I tried to catch that Wave 5 Break out...
At the first failure I turned off my computer!

There is a parable called the “Old Man at the Fort" ...
written by the great Taoist philosopher Lao Tse in the fourth century BC.
The story of Ralph Nelson Elliott and his discovery of the Elliott Wave Principle resembles the story in the parable.
It goes something like this:

An Old Man was living with his Son at an abandoned fort on the top of a hill, and one day he lost a horse.
The neighbours came to express their sympathy for his misfortune, and the Old Man asked, “How do you know this is bad luck?”
A few days afterwards, his horse returned with a number of wild horses,
and his neighbours came again to congratulate him on this stroke of good fortune, and the Old Man replied, “How do you know this is good luck?”
With so many horses around, his son began to take to riding, and one day he broke his leg.
Again the neighbours came around to express their sympathy, and the Old Man replied, “How do you know this is bad luck?”

The parable also resembles the ebb and flow of the ocean’s waves, the constant ebb and flow of luck, fortunes,

In your opinion, he does it without knowing (or thinking he knows) which is the 4 and which is the 5?

Question is that I know TAF almost all by heart...

It is not important to count each wave and subwave right.
Very important (absolutely of fundamental importance) is 1) to understand the structure of the Cycle and 2) the psychology connected to it.
Without understanding the dynamics of Elliott's Theory, it is impossible to understand the historical period
and the connections between the work of Dow, Livermore, Gann, Wyckoff and Schabacker.
This is equivalent, in my personal not so humble view, to not understanding anything about trading and charting. Triple exclamation point.

The majority of TAF readers, looking for a theoretical justification for their ignorance about science and history of Trading,
replace their concept of "Random Market / Random Trading" to that of "Non-predictive approach".
First, "Non-predictive" has nothing against "Highly probable".
Second, a nice debate on the philosophical-psychological nature of Elliott's Theory would be fantastic:
but not on a public Forum of unprepared and arrogant beginners and wanna-be.

I say it again: imagination and visualization are essential for a successful training.
