Modeling and remodeling create the number of trials needed for skilled traders to acquire a feel for changing markets.
The trader running many models per day, through the study of his charts, sees and experiences many more markets
than the trader who simply follows the market during trading hours.

Replaying similar markets from the past based on what-if criteria

I'll gave my point of view about market sense and complexity
and some sources of info in terms of books and websites useful to reinforce the necessary personal skills.
I can't do more than this.
Now I'm pointing just to the crucial phases of the battle with the shift of Force as shown on the chart.
You (all!) have to use your knowledge and imagination to read those actions and "draw the sums":
I traded all those patterns live and I have provided enough items for a good research.

There is no another way to learn.
The idea is clear.
Market speaks. All is on the chart. One needs just to learn that foreign language.

And you can add:

yes, but who reads this things nowadays. few. even in univerisities the great classics are not studied anymore.

The part on Trading as Mental Warfare is an add-on!

On this we must be very careful. And I am very strict against these claims.

The first part of education is made up of necessary, hard and pure study and comprehension.
Only after a deep internalization (which is first intellectual and then physical) we then can talk about the birth of automatisms!
The application and execution of that automatism will require always a precise mental control.
So no "sixth sense" exists... but always and only a profound form of training!

exactly this is meant in my opinion. "verinnerlichung" or something becoming your second nature. you can only acquire this after practicing intensely with highest conscious concentration! musicians know this very well.
