I must say that I am rather positively impressed with FxPro, for now...
Just had some hard time finding this FX GLOBAL option... You have to search a little... BIG difference to FXPRO UK! FX GLOBAL is in Bahamas so they can provide CRAZY leverage (500:1) etc Was still hoping they would provide better leverage for BTC.. 20:1 is ok, but also the spread is quite high...

I still google the link to FXPRO global.. since default sims to be UK. This is what I miss at other brokers, seems it is possible to provide FREE DO CHOOSE option..
If you want "security" go to UK account, if you want "freedom" go to GLOBAL (Bahamas). I love this freedom... Hope it stays that way...

See here for example:
https://www.fxpro.com/trading/cryptocurrencies/btcusd

LeverageFxPro GM Limited
<50,000 USD at 1:20
>50,000 USD at 1:10

FxPro UK Limited
<50,000 USD at 1:2
>50,000 USD at 1:2

For other markets... Choose different "Entity" at bottom right... If I wouldn't knew it exist, maybe I would not find it (again..
And also, being FORMULA 1 does help with some assurance they have the money for possible profit withdrawals, right?
See the logo on head protection (black) "halo"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McLaren_MCL34
https://in-speed-we-trust.com/

I mean I love that the broker does have money but also hoping I am not paying too high spread

I was a FX Pro client. I would not recommend them. frequent slippage - specially around data releases. they significantly widen the spreads too for no reason. and very high swap charges. I would recommend TDX Markets (tdxmarkets.com), fastest execution, and 500:1 leverage, above all ASIC regulated.

{quote} Hello. Well, as for outcome, it is still on going. 1. After more than 60 days, they have accepted their mistake this time(via phone call (have the proofs)) and thus reimbursed me the trade losses amounting to a thousand USD or so. But their CCRO was funny and unhappy at same time that i am posting my problem here and wanted me to delete these posts. When i declined anyway (given no one attended/replied to them or to many of my emails or phone calls) she requested me to confirm/acknowledge the reimbursal here on...

Thank you for the detailed info, I was looking to shift broker but what they are doing does not make sense - it's your money, you should be able to withdraw it, and now they are classing you as a criminal!

I think that it is also important to ask... what types of trading is one aiming at...
Some people confuse latency trading to news trading... No real broker likes that.. specially if you are making some heavy multiplication factor on the deposit...
Also brokers have some formulas, stat... and if you are a outlier... winning outlier obviously... you would have to be reviewed.. It is a standard procedure...
So if anyone is seriously profitable.. I would advise to be as legit as possible... to present them anything they want, because brokers are on the hotspot also..
Trading is so big, so many traders that it is impossible to review every trade so they rely on some controlling models.. And if someone would make 100% a day, he would sure be suspicious But this suspicions could rather easily be calmed down with real trading, good identification.. And in fact, if one would be REALLY profitable.. why not set a proper (reputable) company for it

Yeah, had a good relationship with FxPro atm... Will report when/if I make some serious FACTOR on the deposit...
Can you afford to take that chance?

... just for your information.

FXPro now restrict demo accounts to 180 days. After 180 days you have to create new demo accounts.

kind regards

I think (but not sure) that it is only 180 days if you do not continue using the account.

Ex FxPro trader here... same as everyone, spread widening and slippage was a big issue so I closed my account and found a better one. That was 2 years ago so I don't know if they got any better.

FxPro used to offer South Africa 40 index prices and live charts on MT4. This ceased at the end of December for some unknown reason.
Can anybody suggest an alternative MT4 broker that offers this index with a live chart on MT4.
Apologies for posting here but I am still a Junior Member and cannot start a new thread.
Thanks for your help.

Very unsettling experience with FXpro today. I woke up to find an open order in Gold which happened when I was sleeping. Nobody else has access to my computers and accounts and I found absolutely no signs of any hacking or remote login. It was not a pending order either, it was a market order placed when I was sleeping.

I closed the order and contacted their chat. They said they would transfer my complaint to Execution and would get back to me via email. They still haven't.

I've been with them for many years and never had such a thing happen to me before, however it's one of those things that one time is too many.

I had mixed feeling while reading your post. It is amusing AF, unintentionally One thing that I would suggest, something I did in the 90's when TV output was hype in graphic cards... I recorded whole screen with VCR so that I can than review the REAL logs... Because otherwise it is quite impossible to know what exactly did happen.. Even system/event logs are not that reliable.. But when you see the actual SCREEN, you will see what actually happened with mouse movements and specially if you had the fxpro window or mt4 minimised... Well if the fxpro/mt4 was opened and the mouse cursor was on the BUY/SELL button then a cat could do it even, a poltergeist or even a 0/1 error due to solar radiation (it is possible)... Or maybe you walked in your sleep or anything.. But videoscreen (much much easier this days since we have enormous discs this days... Back in the 90s 1GB was OMG.... So yeah, try to find it in some logs, if you can, but for future usage, would highly recommend screen recording (at movements at least). Anyone else had access to your computer? Rule no one out, I have seen shit like this before

But I find the "story" funny because you went to sleep, woke up and saw an open trade or closed trade with loss? Because I would imagine you would not complain if trade would happen and be crazy profitable...
Can you afford to take that chance?

I closed it with a small loss, but that's not the point. I was ASLEEP at the time the order was placed. The order was a market order placed around 2:00 AM and I slept at midnight. My computer was shut down. I have MT4 installed in 3 other computers, only one was open and it was at another place, locked and secured with no signs of anyone having entered. Even if someone had managed to find the keys, enter, disturb or steal absolutely nothing and lock again on his way out, he would also have to know my Windows password and my MT4 password. And I fail to see why someone would do all this just to place a market order.

And as I said, it's easily verifiable by anyone with access that it was a market order and not a pending one. If it was a pending one I would of course have thought I placed it by mistake. If it was a market order during sometime I was awake and in front of an open PC, I would have thought I placed it without realizing it, perhaps by a wrong mouse click. But as it is, there's no explanation other than it was a glitch of Fxpro's system.

No expert advisors at all, too.

Keep us posted, you got me curious! BTW I had my many accounts tried to be accessed... fortunately got blocked so far...
BTW I do not like that FxPro does not provide 2-factor authentication like some other brokers, last time I checked. Any serious AUM should require 2-factor.. so either not many have that big accounts or they have 2-factor to that web/mt4 platform, in some way... I believe the security should be similart o banks... Well yeah one can not withdraw money that easily, but still! Could do serious harm by trading, as your case suggests.

Again, I can't wait to here more! But would still recommend screen recording! If possible, would advise dedicated phone or mobile, per broker, just to eliminate other factors... but that is for higher "game"
Can you afford to take that chance?

As soon as I have an answer I'll post it here. I'm not new to this, I have more than 10 years experience with various brokers and platforms. I have done my fair share of stupid mistakes but this wasn't one of them.

Did you check the logs?

If not, take a look to them. Maybe you find some info there where the trade came from.

Here is the path: File > Open Data Folder > logs
