The Wall Street Journal story on the China Deal is completely wrong

A few take aways on this; 1) A major trust problem on the POTUS and what he states from all directions, the people, investors and markets, media, etc. This problem has been going on for a long time now with some 100reds tweets on how great he will make this. If he just shut up, like Lazyegg correctly points out above, a trust on material news would be closer to 100% than to zero, as it surely is now.
2) Preliminary analysis is that this "agreement". Note, till now no (legal) Deal is signed, and it is still this phase 1, excluding many major disagreements that I bet they need to visit and agree to soon. The trade situation will therefore not be as it was before the trade war started. In all essense, a worse situation than before. Created by whom….? Right; Donald. I use the "wirvling of dust" - expression again. A true failure of understanding the Chinese business culture (pointed out some dozen of times here) 3) This tarriffs thing, with big billion USD numbers to it, is only a distraction as it hurts US as well, and the funny situation is that he say he puts on trumpmendous punishing tarriffs, and then he need to take them away again, not because the Chinese bent over, no, it is because Donald need this, and then telling all and everyone that this is a great deal. A 10 year old kid can read this clearly. Remember; forth and back is about the same distance. 4) He promissed the US farmers that they will be having great production of soybeans and pork hogs to China (main Agricultural portion of the trade deal), and this has not been accomplished till now. Time is critical for him, not China !! So to secure these farmer voters HE NEED something that satisfy these promisses. Now he tells them to og buy larger tractors and trucks....OMG....I hope they dont, as it is all big BS.
China has secured lots of these goods (soybeans and hogs) allready last 2 months as substitues to the uncertainties with US negos. Now they should have agreed to take inport of Agricultural Products again, mainly soybeans and hogs. 5) There will be more quiet and some needed calm during the X-mas, and that is good for all of us, and untill New Year, but the uncertainty will still exist, as we can see after this release now, and it will make the market volatilities work (ok for us).

As of now we dont know exactly what the termsheet is (A trade deal is not legally signed), but bet the analysts will tear it apart and the market has spoken till now : all futures markets are not popping the champagne - not at all !! It was some down and now quite flat.

Why does everyone get so excited everytime the POTUS tweets on this stuff?
China, not POTUS is driving this process.
Hes just in it to cut a short term quick-n-dirty deal that will let him claim a "Bigly Success" and recover some political credibility from a failing strategy/policy and appease the good farming folk in the midwest who've been put on welfare subsidies as victims of the whole daft plan.

i have not cared for long time what trumpy tweets, just as long as he does tweet LOL. Every time he makes volatile market so i make money. Just sit and wait for the tweets then see what first reaction is. Follow reaction for short time, then wait for traders to realize he is crazy again, and then take reverse trade as market slows,stalls, then reverses. Easy to catch pips every time.

The deal is not going to happen not now . He just want to phony up to market until it makes new high and when it crashes he will tweet again to give market some hope . but i bet that he will make a deal in 2020 before election with china , EU , Brazil even peace deal with N Korea and Afghanistan.
