The Dow closed on highs which IMO leaves a little more room to the upside. Had it retraced a bit after hitting said High and only posted an intraday high it would be different. So IMO the 108.8 hit is still on the board as a possibility. Also my 4hr chart looks to have room for it

Me either until I downloaded an Indicator for Thinkorswim with it on it. Then after a few days of googling it I finally found it. Turns out it has two names. Big Nero.. or something. I will find the posting and forward it over once I get home, nap, n etc..

At 10:31 EST it was announced that china and the usa had agreed to put off tariffs. This should be interesting as we are already somewhat extended. Queue the bad PMI news? In the interim we may get another crack at 109.3

109.32 is the number. A daily close above indicates daily/weekly support at 109.32. Good luck longs.

No indications of shorts here. USA cuts rate, positive for paper = stock = positive for Usd/Jpy. US interest rates are still significantly higher than Jpy, which are currently actually negative. This could herald a new carry trade lasting months, if not years. Take a look at where Usd/Jpy was in 1975.

Dow closed with a slight retracement so perhaps bears will get some love now over yesterday's closing on highs, although the Yen looks to still have some room below that may push us up again.

Been conflicted for days about this. This is one of the better sub threads and usd/jpy is a great pair to trade. If it weren’t for the test of last week’s high yesterday and pullback today before what could be a possible breakout from the triangle it would be easier to walk away.

I agree. Going to peoples Youtube videos is a total pain. It means opening a new tab or window, investing time watching a video - let's face it - one of the slowest ways to look at someone's view of the market and then, after watching a video for 5 + minutes, making a critique. Far easier to look at a chart here with a brief description.
Also, Youtube is getting extremely annoying, adverts, pop ups, subscription requests - it's becoming a dinosaur and the sooner something sleeker comes along the better.

Having said that, I hesitate to agree with someone who uses the expression "it would be so awesome". It would be "so awesome" if the sun exploded, or if I could magically educate US citizens, by telepathy, in the use of the word "awesome".

It would be awesome if rather than assuming your education is superior you asked why the phrase was used. I use colloquial terms to lessen the blow. People are easily offended when critiqued, and the use of lighthearted phrases tends to change how things are recieved. With that said, you have no idea where I was educated or how many different ways I have learned to communicate. To assume your way superior... Well Americans have an amusing euphemism using the word assume I am sure you are privy to.
