Hi Nih98,

The idea is to trade on the confluence of TMA bands and the weekly high-low (or open-close) average range in pips or percentage.

Make the weekly average range as our measurement foot rule to probe the riverbed (bottom) and top zone formations.

Can you please incorporate in the same indicator an option of printing hi-low or open-close weekly range with a multiplication factor to look back at the past to find the pattern of riverbed formation?

And also print the future Vertical timeline when the exhaustion (top) or accumulation (bottom) is anticipated to happen.

Two inputs will be needed.

1. For drawing horizontal lines or shadow from high and low or open-close of the intended weekly range extending (both in the past and in the future) up to past Date, Time and Year selected to study the pattern and to future Date, Time and Year to predict the future.

2. Weekly average range to be filtered by a factor input by the user. Multiplication Factor can be anything from negative 0.10 times to positive 10 times. Negative 0.10 times good for short-term trading. Positive 1o times good for Medium-term swing trading or Position.

Examples for the short term:

If I think bottom riverbed is forming then let me probe the bottom by using the negative factor of the average weekly range.

Like in case of Brexit, if I think the sterling is likely to go up in next 8 weeks by 10 times of weekly range size, then I will be waiting for the TMA waves to approach the Signpost and decide what to do. Sell or buy further.

The indicator will print a Bar of the size of 10 of the weekly range on 26th July, Tokyo or Frankfurt or London or New York Server time in hours chosen by me.

3. Email/notification alert distance will be useful for a mobile trader like me.

I am giving this idea emanating from my actual experience during Brexit.

I have no Trading Explorer because I do not use MT4. Moreover I generally do not trade Forex. I most of the Time trade DAX and DOW. Anyway a chart is a chart. The methodology is the same whatever support and whatever Time Frame you use

Thank you so much.

Do you think it is doable for tradingview mobile if I were to implement an idea explained in post 261 of this thread or in another post https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...3#post12307123 ?

Looks like tradingview mobile is better than MT4 Android.

Hi Nih98
I must write this post to again thank you for the effort you are making in your attempt to show us YOUR method I find all the nonsense that's happening very disappointing, I am a big boy and I have decide after seeing your work that I would like to follow and study what you do and why, Now I am at my wits end with guys saying I am an idiot as it will all end in tears, you must save time and do it this way it's the only way.
As you have mentioned there will always be many ways to make a few bob out of the market, I think it's been proved that there is no Holy Grail, I happen to choose yours. to see how close you come.
To be selfish I asked you to start your own thread, you kindly did, I think you are doing a great job of feeding us your charts and rational bit by bit, I do not want you to write other indicators, other than they fit with your methodology, now the only icing on the cake that remains for me, would be not to have to look at other threads, with all the constant bickering, just to check that I do not miss one of your posts.
My personnel viewpoint is that It all comes down to a free choice how we trade our own money and the method we use
Dave
Ps To be completely honest before I bumped you I traded XARD777, Parisboys and Murrey Methods and still take trades from them as well as yours

Hey Nih,

I've been in the laboratory yesterday, manually backtesting your TMA settings for about 14 hours, came up with some interesting results. These entries are taken from the river band zone as I believe you call it, with a fixed TP (keeping in account the ADR) but without an SL (hence the bigger DD on some of the most volatile pairs) trading in baskets on the 1HR TF from the past year.

Yes I was a little worried over the weekend about some of the stuff that went on the forum. Please @Nih keep this thread going and strictly about trading your style and don't allow negativity to creep over here.

Hi NIH 98,

I would also like to add my appreciation for your work. I don't say much as I am still wet behind the ears and learning, but it's people like you that give your time, experience and knowledge when you could be doing other things that really help people like me.

Thanks again,

Shaun

Can I ask, what was your TP target? 50% of daily ADR, 25 % or opposite band or ???

Thanks again,

In my opinion, the goal depends on: - If the entry is short (Price reversal with Salmon in TF low): Profit from 50-100 pips, we should consider to cut loss, exit accordingly - If the entry is long: Price trends with Salmons: Profit lines from 200-500 or more pips The two transactions I just made, though initially, were the opposite of Salmon TF, but I anticipate that in the future prices will be in the same direction as the high Salmons. So I set a stop loss of 50 pips, my result is profit over 400 pips. I also wish NIH98 will share more information to make this strategy more effective Sincere thanks!

Depending on the ADR of the pair I was using a 20-35pip TP.
