was watching this symmetrical triangle form. Lots of technical things to note. multiple out of line movements (usually breakout happens in the direction of the out of line movements). also, upon usd news release a breakaway gap forms suggesting a strong push. Just noting these things because Im currently studying Richard Schabackers book on Technical Analysis and this is right in line with whats in his book.

sell Eurusd @ 1.1299 x .01

sold on retrace. was hoping for a bigger bounce up to where the stop line on my previous chart.

might be too deep for an attack already

need to figure out best time to send scouts and attacks concerning pattern formations. maybe shouldve scouted in the triangle. waited for a retest after the break to enter attack...

Looking at this pattern this morning. Eur/Usd forming a rectangle (continuation or reversal of trend depending on which side breaks ). The top line was broken a moment ago. Gonna see if it holds and look to go long iin 5 minute time window. Or might be a trap to continue south movement of hourly trend.

scout out Eur @1.2288 x.01

entered on the candle after the pinbar (looked like duck hunt). as I was typing the order to sell, unexpected news came out, price dropped and got a bad fill. meant to be scouting at the top and not the bottome of the range. may have to kill scout if he doesnt report good things.

This is how I saw this yesterday on m5 - as I watch this man very closely

 

  1. had feeling they would hunt north to at least test breakout zone of prior run down: from poor pa and news days coming up: duck hunting around
  2. tried but did not want to continue south - she tried but not singing - so broke that m5 down attempt into minor uptrend (to bring in the peeps in too early) side range coiling (this lets them sweep both sides I think?)
  3. news out brought in early buyers/robots (mm will be short by the in too early peeps) then crash down hit the stops in that duck hunt then showed her legs long

Just how I saw it at the time as best I can remember. You could have also gone other way - but good one for killing scout. BTW I am not a news lover - taken me ages to study happenings around it - but I think my nature is either too cautious or too crazy (weird).

Another my weakness: I don't know robots nor computers/ IT and prefer moving pairs. EUR seems dormant the 3rd day, until this afternoon, maybe.

I'm sorry to intervene, though.

My thoughts were similar...

Eur runs down and consolidates. Price moves back and forth looking for new sellers/buyers and stops on both sides. Pin bar forms trapping breakout buyers and running sellers stops. next bar is news and runs down to stop out the trapped buyers and trigger run south. some buyers stopped out but not enough to trigger run so price moves north to look for more buyers (which means more stops) and higher price to sell the downtrend. Obviously this is a simplified view and only one possible scenario of what could be taking place. still learning to view the market this way. thanks for your views.

EUR and GBP are already too deep this morning. Watching JPY break out of a descending triangle. Might be too late as break outs are dangerous. but retests seem safer. Missed a possible scouting area at 111.60 area

a wise man once wrote " it's never too late to buy an uptrend" (franco was that you?) or in this case sell a down trend.

euro continuing its drop after that bear flag formation on 5 min

should've got sooner round 53-54. H1 trend pretty deep atm. big news usd news coming up so lets see what happens.

H1 having trouble breaking through resistance. maybe good spot for h1 trend reversal but all the peaks and troughs are still in tact so...still looking north

will wait till price holds above resistance before attacking...not good to attack walled cities. although I may never get there. people might be sitting on their hands waiting for usd fig release.
