What you use for pivot calculating as my weekly pivot (there is just one) is exactly at 1.24 and thats quite far from your values.

Hi Buddy, Thank you for the quote.

I dont use any indicator for calculating the weekly pivots i.e price. Pivots are the price which was considered as the decision point that made the market to move either up or down for a CONSIDERABLE PERIOD OF TIME.

The values i mentioned on the previous post are the recent weeks (Up to 5 -8 weeks) lower lows.
The value 1.24 you've mentioned was rejected for 4 weeks straight. If you draw the line exactly it'd be 1.2417 ( I mentioned in one of my yesterdays posts as a resistance).

This was my view.

Soft trend down... and down... and down... and all the time it looks like change on the 5min but it doesn't (until it does).
A day like this the hourly rules... they're just selling as much as they can... and then they stop.. let price come up, and sell again. Then they make the 5 look like a buy, and they sell again... and it all goes further than we think usually. Going with VWAP works 75% of the time. Yesterday it didn't.

In a different perspective, The previous 4hr candle was very strong. In this downtrend only 2, 4hrs bull candles which didnt made any significant statement. It need a strong upwards push , a large tail in this case to even consider a bull presence.

All I know is up, down, sideways and change (based on my criteria and timeframe) and I only know it right now. Now is down.

Ok I understand. To me, pivot is a pivot and has just one formula to calculate it.

My view on daily.

As you see it's odd situation.
Note 1.2338 few horizontal supports.
If channel holds 1.23 zone we go up. Towards double top or major TL.

If breaks low we are doing maybe ABC correction so can't measure exactly... but 1.20-21 will bounce.

Mind you previous days feel a bit manipulation and of course the overstretch and correction Friday are both creating mess.

Good for anyone who traded very small frames!!!

Floor trader Pivots/Formulaic Pivots are locations where you expect price pivots to occur hence the name "Pivot Points".

Any more with all the regulation ( that stifled banks providing liquidity,, ai trading against clients ) and the lack of an actual floor trading pit not sure other than a few quick hits how much good those are anymore really . Probably the reason drops are exaggerated and quick

I can trade the price pivot but I've never had any success trading the floor trader pivots.
