i originally came back to FF looking for someone and also gathering info for a book i was writing.

The book was put on hold and i stayed around due to making friends and having banter..

Alright alright I'm done for a while. That was fun, I'm going back into hibernation again, this place isn't worth my time at all.
I'll pop back into this forum here and there though, just to check up!

Since most people don't know what they are doing and everyone almost without exception blows their accounts unless they are professionals then trading is gambling and as such is another form of addiction. So suicide here is related to both the consequences of repeated serious losses and also the underlying psychopathology that led you to it and or maintains the behaviour. Therefore proper teaching about the financial markets before one opens a live account should be mandatory and spread betting which is fixed and we all know it is should be criminalised. All that said even 90% of professionals blow their accounts but 'at least' its other people's money and they live off commission so the consequences of losses are not the same for them. See the interesting post on epsilon theory which states that all financial markets are mathematically unpredictable. Interesting but I disagree.

Trading should not be tried by many people and Mingary is right telling people how futile it is.....
Any form of training should be aimed at staying one step ahead of market makers.
Once the fundamentals are sorted the big boys hunt the retail traders.

i am aware of epsilon theory but trashed it a long time ago, you need to play the big boys a high percent of the time...
