You say to yourself that you must have been doing something wrong, it couldn't be that nice broker you send you money too) You say to yourself that you are really going to do something about the pain next time.

The next painful attack comes. (You lost most of your money) You go see the doctor (Research the Broker on sites like this one)

The Doctor tell you that it's terminal. You should have come to him when the little aches where there in the first place. (You should have researched the SOB beforehand)

ARRRRRGGGHHH.....Please Sir, I want more.......

I enjoy a good debate and would prefer to talk to people who disagree with me more than agree with me. I don't enjoy someone taking material out of context and questioning my intergrity, my experiences, or my intentions.

The point of the thread is that if your broker is screwing you, get a new one and start focusing on trading. If your broker sucks then start a thread on how you've been wronged. I don't care, I'm not here to draw attention to myself.

Sanity and comprehension are not the same thing.

Why don't you get over it? I'm sick of all this broker supporters! Let them run their own freaking propaganda. What side are you on anyway ha? Are you a broker? If not - Why the hell don't you stand up for your own?

How can you stand up for them when you see what they're doing? All does flashy ads - guarantied stops, instant execution, fixed spreads bla,bla,bla.

Guarantied stops, instant execution, fixed spreads( until you open an account with them). Then the shit hits the fan, slippage, platform freezes, spread increases....

Your broker supportive post doesn't deserve a sticky.

i guess you don't know how this market realy works. i trade on currenex and i get no stops loss and fixed spreads forget about it but then again i only pay 0-3 spreads and slippage what you expect when prices or moving very fast. the only problem i will have with a broker will be if there platform freeze up on me or if i can't trade news. other then that learn this business before you speak. if your in this business to complain then you will never make money. there's no such thing as guarantied in forex.

Maybe from my post you got the impression that I'm a newbie ( you know look at this newbie got scammed by the ads. I'm not a newbie at all ( but I'm not a pro yet).

Let's say you buy a medicine for a heart. On it in bold letters it says that it cures heart problems. But there is a little * at the end of it (don't you just hate that crappy *) . On the back of it ( where nobody looks ) it says in small letters:

* it may not work all the time, (read in volatile times ) and 90 % of people who use this will die

That was generally my point. You have to agree that the way the lure in customers with lies is dispecable.

I don't want to get into this argument cause I know what's the mood in this forum, that's why I didn't touch this subject for months.

People can think what they want, but when a fellow trader comes out with a title - Broker Complaints …Get over it! - and implies that it's the traders fault that they get cheated and scammed, well that just makes me sick.

i do understand where you commimg from. i went thru the same sh*t with broker what i do know is that complaining will take up most of your time a lot of it. the only problem you should have with your retail broker is if they was stop hunting, platform freezing, and can't get in and out of trades doing news time. the rest like slippage, guranteed stops loss, i can tell you it's part of the market

You missed the whole point of the thread. I'll recap for you: You need a broker, you should find one that you can deal with and trust, you should then move on and concentrate on trading and improving yourself.

For someone who hates brokers you seem to be OK with allowing them to advertise on your blog.

I cannot help thinking that there is something inherently (downright fishy) wrong about painting Traders are idiots (You should have known better, you don't know how the markets works, pick another broker, etc.), and painting Brokers as people that "have to make a living, so they do what they do". Brokers are intitled to make a living? Have you people that make this idiotic statement gone nuts?
As I said in my previous comment, forex brokers behave the way equity brokers were like in the 1920's. Only the outrage that happened then finally forced the powers that were to regulate the industry.
Let us hope the same wisdom prevails here.

Banks send brokers a set of rules...Brokers give us a "modified" version of those rules to play with. I think Phil is saying "Play by the damn rules", and I think he is right.

The obvious example is spreads during news time. It is very common knowledge that spreads widen in times of volatility. Sure on the brokers home-page in giant flashing letters you can read "fixed spread". Nearly always 50 pages into the user agreement you will read "unable to garauntee spread in times of volatility".

This becomes a rule people...follow it. Crying/revenge trading/broker bashing/smashing your fist into your screen...doesn't change this rule.

Other rules are stopHunting,manual execution,no scalping,un-garaunteed fills,slippage....all rules, all here to stay.

It's very possible to play by the rules and make money so you should get on with it.

Not trying to be negative, or call out anyone in this post, just my point of view... just giving some support to a thread that is a breath of fresh air.
