Like at the end of a "tug of war" battle when one side of the rope is just about in the mud. Neither side might be moving at that moment (equilibrium so to speak, still losing though) but it is only a matter time before the weaker group starts getting dragged the rest of the way into the mud.

I cannot understand. If candle next to equilibrium candle moves down then new equilibrium will be established downward and buyers will be left behind?

There's no way to know the exact volume of orders since stop orders are really market orders. But look at the chart... where are the traders who went long today and short break-out traders placing their stop orders? A majority of retail is now long UJ and if we saw a panic bar where do you think they would click-out and/or reverse.

SELL,SELL,SELL; would happen the most <112

Longs are already getting dragged the wrong way and starting to panic.. That 112 area looks pretty safe, huh?

Believe me forget about equilibrium.

Think of this way. You are bidding with one other party for the Mona Lisa. Of course it will never be for sale at any price. But you and the other person are bidding one after another fast and furious until it gets into the 100's of millions. 100, 200, 300, 400 etc etc. Bidding starts to slow and reach - cue Dr Evil - One Billion Dollars and what you would call equilibrium. Then all of a sudden you bid Two Billion Dollars and win the Mona Lisa when other bidder concedes. Would you still say the previous top bid was really equilibrium or not really just the other bidder reaching their limit?

Another way to look at it is often when price drops its not because there was suddenly a lot of selling but a lack of additional buying. Once the drop starts a lot more selling comes in then.

And vice versa a lack of additional selling near bottoms, not necessarily a lot of new buyers causes price to rise which will then cause more buying to happen next.
