make a fresh account, using a different email, that is all.
the docs to verify you can use the same, that is all.

for 1.5$/lot, it is a small extra effort, worth it

yeah those lots are not that same. My account is a spreadbetting account, if you are outside of UK then probably not something you have ever used.

it means that whatever value i put in the trade volume, so for example 1.5, its not 1.5 lots/pip... its £1.50/pip.... if that makes sense

dude i think we need to figure out if it's the same for forex vs futures when it comes to lot size here

if it's the same (1 lot=$10),
(10 pipsx1lot=100-5.5 com=$94.5) forex com
10 pipsx1lot=100-5 com=95) futures com

But if it's 1 lot=$5 for futures, then it's slightly cheaper for futures (10 pipx2lots-5 com=$95 profit) futures com

is my math right? lol

Emini nasdaq trades at 5.00 per tick [pip] with 1 contract. 4 ticks equals 1 point. It's 4.50 to 5.00 commission per contract (lot)

I trade 1 contract (lot) I had 5 trades made 111 ticks minus 5 trades of 4.50 commission so 555 dollars minus 22.50 commission 532.50 net if I traded 2 contracts it would have been 1110 dollars minus 45 for commission with no get in spread you be the judge market no broker intervention at all

yeah i can't decide if i am going to change

example: 10 trades = $70 commission
6 wins = $600
4 losses = -$400
2 net wins = $200 - $70 = $130...


i wonder if there is a good way of calculating if it is actually worth it

my current broker

6 wins = $600
4 losses = -$400
2 net wins = $200

SO - is that 70$ worth the spreads being cut by 0.4 on EU? that is the question - if i went back over my trades, then yes for me it would almost definitely be worth it... id have made more money

You don't get it Don there spread might be small but it's based on false price so real spread is more like 4. I have said all I can about this good luck

1-Futures brokers are usually $3.50-5.00 per round turn so a forex broker needs to have a spread of .35-.50 pips with NO commission to be equal to futures costs.

2-If you're scalping & willing to trade 1 full contract/lot, then better to trade equity, oil, gold & soybean futures rather than currency futures. The profit (and loss) potential is much better as the intraday % moves are larger. Easier to trade bigger swings than small swings unless you're willing to hold through a retracement cycle. Ask anyone that scalps equity futures why they don't scalp currency futures. Try on demo for a couple days & you'll see why.

3-If swing trading, not much difference between futures & forex as charts are nearly identical if looking @ H1 and HTFs.

4-Lower TF charts will look a bit different between forex & futures because there's a lot more "ticks" between each major price level on a forex chart than futures. In forex you're trading in increments of pennies(and smaller) but futures you're trading in increments of nickels, dimes & quarters depending upon the market. (Examples: oil=$10/tick, euro futures=$12.50/tick, ES=$12.50/tick, YM=$5/tick, NQ=$5/tick)

can you give me a broker that i can use for the data... for free? and which contract do i use? i have the ninjatrader futures data atm but its difference is like 10 pips/ticks

If you trade e mini nasdaq there's a 5.00 a month fee for data for every one pretty cheap to trade

The futures data will always be different from the forex because there's "premium" in futures that erodes as expiration date approaches. Nothing to even think about as a scalper, just makes it tricky if comparing futures price to forex price.

I use ninjatrader & they have broker partners that will give you a 30 day free data service to try a demo account. Just go to their website to see the partners.

Contracts:
Euro Futures = 6E
S&P Futures = ES
Nasdaq Futures = NQ
Oil Futures = CL
Gold Futures = GC
***All brokers aren't the same with symbols & the symbols will have additional letters/numbers to signify which month contract you're trading.
My broker has "09-17" added to the contract symbol since currently active contract is September 2017.
Current Euro contract is "6E 09-17"

When it comes to data it's the same monthly flat fee for all. I have tried ninja imop Sierra is more user and computer friendly. Ninja has a big charge to buy a license Sierra is free with 10 trades a month
