Easily done I have to say. It's when one has taken a hit that you have to stick even more closely to your rules. The human reaction is to try and hit back at the market as quickly as possible. That leads to disaster. If you're feeling stung, turn off the computer and come back tomorrow. The other thing I've learned is to never trade at times when there is often a lot of stop hunting taking place - a favorite time for this unsavory pursuit is after 5.00pm (UK time) when London closes

You are really up against it with a $30 start. It's so very true that in reality one needs $5000+ starting balance to have any real chance of making big bucks in this market. Some people start with a whole lot more and still fail

Yes that's true! (My apologies to you by the way for my rather negative replies to your posts on the BKB thread)

However there is a way I think. I was going to start a thread in connection with it. It's something I 've been studying for a while now.

There are no 100% sure trades in forex of course as there there are no 100% sure bets in the betting world! But lets say that the risk is 9/1 (in your favour) - if so, in that case, why not load up? What I'm saying is at 90% it's really worth loading up and very high leveraging.

I have some actual examples and if people are interested, we can explore this further.

My apologies to you as well my friend!

On one of Trader Dantes videos he mentions of his time at a prop firm. There were a few guys who would come in and appear to be doing very little throughout the day. In reality they waited for 1-2 setups each week and go massive in on them.

While others were stressfully jumping in and out of trades every day, these guys had sniper like precision and sat on their hands for most of the week. When they saw their setups play out they went in big and closed out with massive profits.

That's the ultimate goal, to be like those guys.

Absolutely my friend - you've hit the nail right on it's head! Those guys and the guys one sees on You tube are all doing it. That's how they get rich.

That 's me and probably the majority of small traders - when they check their daily trading statement it's probably a mile long! There is only ever one end result - wiping out one's account. Yes, 1 or two trades a week and go massive on them. The set up is perfect - why not? That is the secret, no doubt about it. And one doesn't have to be a trading wizard. You have to defeat an enemy, that's all. And that enemy is yourself!!

Take the trade, load up, take your 50 - 60 pips and come back next week

I think you have probably get half the story.
Loading up, sure....only if...

I believe the missing part is trading capital!!
No prop firm offer 30$ or 100$ accounts and in their right mind think a trader will not only make a living from it, but also go straight to millions, nothing less.
If it isn't realistic for those prop firms and pro traders, how realistic it really should be for any average Joe trader?
Most pro traders not only not making huge monthly ( never mind daily!) % return, by they don't have to!
Once you have decent capital 1-3% a month still plenty when check it out in $$$.

Thank you. But please to remember that the title of this thread is "$30 to $6 million". Yes, the conventional wisdom as we all know is start off with a nice fat account balance (I wonder if that's so the MM's and big guys have a lot more money to take off you??) and protect your account balance by only risking 1% to 3% per trade, right? I agree that that is the norm and probably it's the right thing for the vast majority of traders on these threads. So if that's what makes you feel comfortable and is your thing, by all means follow it and good bye and good luck!

Right, let's not be deterred! Where were we? Oh yes, loading up once or twice a week. What's the plan? Well my suggestion is that before we even start, we need to plan everything very well first. Planning is so overlooked by small traders and yet it is the most important aspect of a successful trader's life. Of course a sane and workable account balance is needed. You have to be able to open an ECN account (for low spreads) with 1:500 leverage. You can't load up unless you've got the leverage! A workable balance? Well in my experience it's got to be min. $200 - that will allow (more or less) for you to leverage up to 5 mini-lots (half a lot) per trade or $5 a pip. So then, a not much more then 50 pips (depends what pair you trade) trade will double your account in one foul swoop. After that, you would want to withdraw your original balance so that you're only playing with the bank's money from then on. Why? Easy answer. It's so much easier to trade with someone else's money then with your own!!

A lot more to say on this but I'll take comments and carry on tomorrow with the really interesting bit

Lol, I think you must be misreading my post a bit, but whatever.
All it was that no prop trader loading up on tiny accounts.
Or there is no 30$ ECN, but there is indeed 200$ one, only that the thread title isn't 200$, right?
Going all in is great, if you have multiple account stand by, but there is always a risk that at -20 pips you find 50% balance, especially at ECN the margin call is not at 10% equity...
Anyway, if you wish then I won't comment on your thoughts, if you feel they hinder you on your pathway.

I don't think I was misreading your post was I? What you're saying in essence is that the chances of succeeding in turning a small amount of money into a very large amount are next to zero because (a) The trade is going to end up losing (b) You can't get an ECN with a small deposit (c) Anyway it's better to have a large account balance and make 1-3% a month which is big dollars for some.

Well let's take it one at a time OK? (a) Well if you're thinking the trade could end up in a minus 20 pip situation you shouldn't have taken the trade in the first place. (b) Actually you CAN get an ECN account with a small balance. Tickmill is one example. $25 minimum deposit. (c) This is the the very trading style we want to avoid in this venture! Yes a lot of traders with a big balance have a basket a trades - they take numerous trades and hope that they'll come out on top at the end of the day and at the end of the month of course and be 1-3% up. That's great if you have a fat balance but in this situation it's not feasible is it?

Yes I did say sane opening balance as opposed to an insane opening balance of only $30! I think it's impossible to start with under $200 and I can say say that from experience

I do understand that you're skeptical. Of course you and most people will be. But hear me out over the next day or two OK? I do have a plan and I do have a trading system to play it out with. It would be a fat lot of good me thinking that this is possible without a half decent trading system to achieve the goal, right? But what I've come to realise is that having a great trading system is only half the battle. If you really want to make big bucks in this game you need more then a good trading system.

How is this even possible? Most forex brokers do not accept small amount of money. And the trading brokers that do, you will be scammed by these forex expert brokers.

No way can you open a forex broker account with 30usd!

OK, sure, tell your story, listening.
As a note, sounds unfair to say with 25$ suddenly one KNOWS ( else wont take it, right?)where a trade will end, but with a larger account a trader HOPE to come out at top...
