Hello BK8 Thank you for this simple system. Could you clarify for me what you mean by the slope of the 5 sma. Using a buy as a example. If the sma is sloping upwards below the last closed candle but has turned and is sloping down 3 candles to the right, would that be a buy trade?

Hi Digf, just want to let you know that Bk8 has not replied for quite some time now and I hope he is fine anyway.

Hello Filipo1 Thanks for letting me know. I have only just found this thread and to date I have read up to page 9. I can see now that Bk8 hasn't posted since January.

Hi Filipo1,
If you dont mind. As I know AUDSGD has a big spread, Would we apply to any pairs, or just choose a small spread to keep the account in safe?

Hi Seria06,
Not sure I got you correctly : do you mean in addition to the +/- 15 pips above/below sma crossing candlestick?
Theoretically yes but practically this should be enough otherwise where is the limit?

Personally I do not care about spreads, way more important is patience to wait for a good setup and this is what I still have to carefully work on.

By the way if you check post 1 you will see that Bk8 gave up using sma 5,3 keeping exclusively sma 5,0 and also stopped using parabolic sar.

Hello everyone.

It took me 4 days to read everypost on thread. Didint want to just read 1 post and jump on last page. Started to watch chart and see how this strategy is working. I have been running test on this strategy and added my own filters too. But not gonna talk about them to not step on OPs toes. But i noticed that SHUM was talking about going to direction of current weekly candle is very good filter to take out loosing trades. Many of here took AUDUSD short, and i took it too when new candle started to form.

But anyways what i saw. DO NOT ENTRY when you see BB squeeze even candle will cross 5SMA. in Squeezes you never know where price will go. SQUEEZES are Money Makers playground and you dont want to open position other direction where they will trade.
Second notice was, if theres way too big candle crossing 5SMA better to wait retracement for better entry (if retracement candle holds same side of 5SMA where candle crossed. And if CROSS is caused of major news. There usually will be retracement.

ALL THE GREEN PIPS TO EVERYONE.
