[quote=scalptradr87;15129806]{quote} Rocky was the reason you didn't enter at the red circle because the ADX was under 25? {image}[/quote Nope because I was already in a long trade.

Disliked{quote} Hi Rocky, I am following you passively for while as I like that we trade in similar manner. Thumbs up! Have you considered to incorporate an exit condition when adx gets way overextended with speed or when there is a volume flush? I am mentioning this as you are leaving $ on the table many times while waiting for the touch of the middle/opposite band in these specific situations. Since you are trading around the session open, taking into a consideration opening range extensions help to point the exits also.Ignored
DislikedWoke up a little late but got 2 nice trades on YM in the Topstep sim account. 1 small win, one really nice win. I trailed the middle of the bollinger bands this time. Really like the price action of YM lately. Rocky your system is so similar to mine, really feel I may adapt to yours more when it comes to futures. It's basically the same thing but with more signals. Think the biggest thing for me would be to get more dialed in to the discretionary part and filter the trades. {image}Ignored

Disliked{quote} If you don't mind here are couple of things to add/think about that will improve your accuracy. - Have a framework of bigger picture that allows you to see if the price is in a bigger "balance" of not, consider that a squeeze/low adx is a balance and your are trying to catch an imbalanced move to another balance. If you map your chart with a composite volume profile (50, 200 days) you can find ledges where the price is likely to reverse, then you avoid to short/buy to break ledges. - Local framework to see if where is currently, take a look...Ignored
Disliked{quote} I can't even look at Scotch. When I was 14 a friend and I finished off a bottle of scotch you can imagine the results. I just bought some Blackberry Crown Royal which is very tasty.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hey, thanks for the reply. I used to use TPO, footprint charts with intraday volume bars instead of timed bars and opening range, vwap bands, etc and used Sierra Charts. Some of it clicked for me, some of it didn't, then went back to timed charts, basic coiling patterns, cumulative delta, etc and went away with the prior. Volume Profile is very useful though, and looking at areas of balance/imbalance made sense. Often times I would take the trades when price faked out one direction, and reversed, and went for a stop run the other direction....Ignored
