Kind of running out of steam here. Feels sluggish. We need more juice to go up now.
Done my day:+6,5+11,5+27,5+2+9+24+40++64+80+104=TOTAL +368,5 pips FDXM
and +85+210+55=TOTAL +350 pips DAX CFDs (=+70 pips FDXM).

So for today TOTAL:+438,5 pips FDXM.
I hold 1 DAX CFDs 11898 overnight. Target 12200 zone for tomorrow or add below 11900 zone.

It's alright, it's OK, I enjoy for today....because nothing's sure about tomorrow (Lorenzo the Magnificent, Firenze 1490 a.c.)

Yeah its hectic times at the moment, lots of opportunities. But my track record with trading long hours usually ends with wiping most of my daily gains. Been a lot happier with profiting and accepting it for the day. Trading session zones keeps me more mentally prepared. As you said EU and US open provide a paradise and enough to make a decent daily living off.

Details of daily positions on GER30 ( DAX )

8:00-11:00 EU session
2 positions
Both ended in losses.
2 x -35 pips

Missed the bull run out of ICHI cloud, but didn't want to add to loss if trade went back below ICHI.

13:30-15:00 EU/US cross session
2 Positions
1 Closed at break-even
1 Closed with 120pips profit

1 extra position
exploited some relief from the US sessions large bull run, went against rules. but felt comfortable taking the trade
50pip profit

Great first day trading the GER30, going to stick to this over FX pairs.
The movements seem a lot more predictable and stable with my RENKO charts.
My guess it thats it due to more stock performance,

If anyone has info that can help me learn more about the traits of the DAX. Happy to read it

I will close around 12290/12300 zone at the European open next min my last DAX CFD bought yd at 11898.

Closed at 12288 seconds ago for +390 pips DAX CFD gain.

12471 on the upside and 11968 on downside the gaps to close for DAX CASH INDEX.
But gaps can lasts for days, weeks, who knows. They are a refer, not a religion, imho.

don't know a lot about trading with renko charts. are you using the ichimoku for generating signals?

would expect dax to be erratic this week because options and futures contracts ending on friday. normally, but since it's already volatile and other factors dominate movements now, it might be not so important

Kind of, I use the ICHI to identify the current direction of price, and try to not add positions whilst its inside the CLD. this typically shows me ranging areas before a breakout. a Brick that starts to break either the top or bottom I include as a tradable signal

ABOVE ICHI = BUYS
BELOW ICHI = SELLS

Brought this indicator a few years back (MARTIN TREND LINE CANDLES) which is just a glorified MA and also changes the candle/bricks when the MA is crossed.

But as shown on the attached screenshot. A basic MA can achieve the same signals.

Exit is the same principle. I will hold untill it closes back above/below MTCL MA. Or hold depending on current action. If price is only 1 Brick above/below the MA and starts to move back in positive direction I tend to hold and let the trade run more.

Also attached are my setups for this mornings session.
Currently stuck in ICHI looking for direction. Neutral Bias currently.

Come in with a PLAN, and come out with profits hopefully.

Yes, Islander is right: Dutchy is a Master and you can find all you need. Stay connected with him and you'll find the light in your Renko strategy.

No indicators, no technical inputs here!
Rarely some trendline on Daily TF, sometimes our great MAESTRO LEONARDO calculation and always potential price levels/targets for next hours.
On the other hand we have many travel pics, good music, football preview and sensational food suggestions on this journal......

13:15CET chart update: waiting for US FED Powell at the Bank Senate Commission.
12300 stopped so far and last thursday every rebound, and this will remain the key for next market move.

Finally it seems SEPTEMBER DAX Future is having some interests today, I guess Institutionals are stepping in, while FDXM SEPT is sleeping yet.....

Better than expected US Retails Sales has sent Dow up another 250 pts with Dax following and up 70 more pts to its 12,400 BRN so its now pulled back 61.8% of its last few days of losses....

I'm a long time user of Maestro Leonardo's work and have met his current flag bearer Carolyn Boroden aka The Fibonacci Queen and had dinner with her in Chicago. Her work on confluences of several levels of retracements and expansions together with the time sequence is well worth studying!

Thanks Islander, I'm away from my home probably whole day, as I wrote early morning and doing some hard manual work together with my son.
So I will not trade today until this evening, what do you think about a 300/270 zone re.buy on retest from the above???

Apologies, I too was AFK this morning working on Nautical jobs and so missed that post.

As the main driver most of the time after lunch are the US Indices, I'll be watching to see how far they pull back towards their late morning low around 13:00 CET before buying dax. If their PB stay's above their 61.8% levels, I doubt Dax will move much if any beyond Dax's 618 which I have at 12,322 cash. TWT

Dow PB ~70% to BRN, S&P / Dax ~50% with m1 HL in Dx at 15:50 cet - bought before Powell's speech, SL now +20

Edit: closed +25 indifferent PA. Too risky for me with Powell speaking
