Mrs V took this one when the pos close candle right on W M3 held and followed up with a red hammer. Pos close candle should follow through higher, when it followed with a hammer that really should go up. Sold when price fell through 50 level again.

Exited at S1 5813, Y's low combo.

We are going fine, Mrs V's blood pressure has been better than its been in ages despite the responsibility that she is now pressing the buttons on her own.

Back/shoulder still plays up now and then but she never moans.

I pray all is well in the EV household.

Four, usually. GU, EU, EJ and I sort of switch back and forth between AUD/USD and USD/JPY.

You had me a bit puzzled there, mate, before I realized you were on about USD/JPY!! It was the "EU" in the title that threw me! You little rascal, you!

d'oh. Just realised it myself. Apologies to all. Rascal? More like pillock. I was watching EJ too but want to see it drop closer to DP and T/L

UJ forming pennant now. May bring in tighter S/L

It seems that 82.59 is quite a strong previous S/R line, Barry. Solid consolidation area at present, but I think price is going to rise from there to 82.75, which is another pesky S/R line!
Only just noticed, otherwise I'd have told you earlier.

Edit: So it proves me wrong and starts nose-diving!

You were of course correct re previous s/r. With push down from DP I reckoned it was more powerful for a quick trade. I took 14 pips when near 50 psych but because it took so long I closed early. 11.30 am I thought was likely to start another consolidation until US open. If I had more patience there was another 10 pips.

Happy with scalp as markets have been tetchy. I missed the EJ trade in the end (easy 15 pips) as I cant manage more than 1 trade at a time on this inadequate laptop.

Nice try, bi......
However, 1.5858 was a previous S/R line, and price stopped right there. I've been messing around on another set of charts, drawing past support and resistance lines from a while back, and I'm quite surprised at how often these lines quite literally stop price dead in its tracks!!
I hope you managed to get something out of the trade, brother?

i do the same thing eyevoltage. I have orange lines on my chart that mark significant turning points using the daily chart. I have drawn most of them last year but the pricing still respects these lines and areas. Here is today's EU chart with these lines.

Not a bad idea, capstone. I was only experimenting with a naked chart, and only going back a few months or so. Still, the results were quite surprising. Those lines are like magnets!!

When price came close to my PT and reversed. I took half out at 5864 and moved stop to BE...which it got hit eventually. Thanks for that tip and I will be sure to spot those S/R next time

Morning, folks.

A counter-trend trade, initiated after a dragon-fly doji, a hammer and another doji, right on S1, gave the indication that price was ready for turning. Entry and exit as shown.

I took a long at 3211, and yes, if the signs are right, I'll take a short, but I'll probably wait until price has dropped through the mid-point level.
