price below pivot, only sell
price above pivot, only buy

usually if price move in my direction 15 pips, i 'll move sl 5 pips behind entry.

if price move 20 pips, set sl to BE.
Went long on 5m cable, after a higher low off the confluence formed by the 1.6600 psych-line and R1. Entry perhaps a touch premature, but happily, it worked out and exit as shown as price started retreating before reaching the xx50 psych-line. Pivots, midpoints and xx00 and xx50 psych-lines only on this chart.

Edit: Correction - the dotted line under the 1.6600 psych-line signifies yesterday's high. Sorry about that.

I never traded this (I was busy taking an inferior setup on ES).

But everything lined up so well that it was too good a learning opportunity to not share with everyone.

Now THAT'S what I call a great set-up!! Well spotted, mate!
A nice trade initiated by a doji forming right on the R1/1.6600 psych-line confluence. Entry just above the high of the doji and exit as price just pierced the M4 line. Nice and simple.

This one took less than 10 minutes after price pushed through the 1.6650 psych-line. A breach of the R2 line followed, and I exited soon after, as price showed slight weakness. In and out....don't let a profit become a loss.

good to see your trades again Captain.
Just catching up after Miami trip. Relaxed but no sleep 36hrs so NOT trading. More brain-dead than usual.

More contributors on thread too. Good stuff.

Unlikely to be trading much until mid next week as many biz issues to resolve, but will keep up to date with thread. Hope markets have yielded many pips to the fruit pickers here, despite the UK & US hols.
