I do have a view on EURCAD that I've been posting in the EURCAD thread and keeping both eyes on it. {image} Using Traditional EW guideline that an impulse wave with an extended 5th wave will be retraced by the next wave of the same degree to the travel of wave (ii) of the extended wave. ( The Major Works of R.N. Elliott p.136 ) {image} Now zeroing-in on the narrow target zone with it's final wave down. safe setup : a buy stop above present price level. bold setup : buy limit in target zone. or both with half lot. Wish me luck!

Before I take a break from this thread.............................Three cheers to R.N. ELLIOTT, he's always been at work in the traditional way. This is not the first time this type of setup worked and I'm expecting more to come in other pairs in coming weeks. This one just bounced off 1 point from the bottom of the expected target zone.
Now place SL under this low.

{quote} It's looking like the 1.2810-25 area will support for a reversal back to 1.2930-40 and will need to be in 5-waves. Below 1.2800 will imply the Wave -v- target estimates mentioned earlier.

If this is going to work I was thinking of 1.2950-55 min.

That wouldn't be a problem - I was looking at a 66.7% retracement in Wave -b- at 1.2941... but up to 1.2950-55 wouldn't break the bearish structure...
No I haven't got the wave structure wrong! I've corrected it!

Valid as long as 1.0885 low is hold. In case price go lower, Head and Shoulders neckline would be broken and it will provoke a move to ~1.07 level.

forexfactory is going a wrong way with his high impact system. forexfactory has too much commercials - and they want only to sell his analyses to newbies. Commercials should not be able to post to the normal threads, posting should only be able in commercial threads. if ian is good at counting he would never sell his service to newbies ????

Luis Carlos is right on my view, why should he post charts here for nothing. if you counting charts you know how long you need to count. wave measurements need time with correct fibo retracements. some oldtimer like infinitus stopped posting here ew-counts, because he has no basis to discuss ew-counts, if everyone is counting his own way. And i think the same like infinitus.

Watching this chart from skyhok http://www.forexfactory.com/attachme...1&d=1411015218 (nothing against you - and i don't want disturb people who want to learn ew). Wave IV is never below wave III - and this is for me a nonsense count and has nothing to do with classic EW-Rules.

{quote} Please read an earlier post in which I have defined the range. For a Wave -v- there is no such thing as an "exact" target.

every wave structure has his own target point +/- 5 Pips on smaler timeframes. when you count ranges your count is always wrong.

as you can see my elliott target @ 1.28259 hit exactly and minimum retrace @ 1.2867 hit also on the pip exactly.

Isn't it better approach simply share your analysis with underlying reasons and we learn something instead make it a competition to be preminent in something trifling.

You appear quite confused. I've not mentioned 1.2855.
I wrote above: "It's looking like the 1.2810-25 area will support for a reversal back to 1.2930-40 and will need to be in 5-waves."

I suggest you look at the chart at the top of this page and at the labelling.

Has Mr Angry gone yet??!!

I don't like the recovery from 1.2825 and I've just noted an alternative that retains the count I have but within Wave -a- of Wave -iii-... The 1.2825 low was actually a 176.4% projection of the first ABC move lower from 1.2928. Therefore, we may have seen a Wave i, Wave ii and Wave iii. The more to 1.2867 is a 54% correction and could be counted as Wave iv. Thus, the Wave v could reach down to around the 1.2800-16 area (around 50%-66.7%) to form Wave -a-.

This would require a correction in Wave -b- ... and they are variable but I'd like to see 50%+ and then we'll have to judge the Wave -iii-. Depending on the depth of the Wave -b- we could expect the 423.6%-461.8% projection between 1.2771-84. Because Wave -ii- was 94% the correction becomes a bit hazy and could be as much as 38.2%-41.4%. This would tend to suggest the 1.2744-57 area - but still allow for the 1.2708 target I mentioned being the 50% projection in Wave -v-.

If this alternative is to happen we shouldn't see above/much above the 1.2867 high - already 54% - the 58.6% at 1.2871. So now we have the boundaries for bullish & bearish outcomes.

Gentlemen do not rush, the correction is not completed and apparently have a contracting triangle, so the final wave that we expect all will be possible between 1.2783 at least and 1.2700 at most.

Hi all - Please find below a message from Ian Copsey.

Well, it seems Mr Angry has complained to the moderator and I cannot continue with the demonstration of the analysis in EURUSD. My apologies for that although you have the basic expectations for the rest of the move.

It is a shame. When I first came onto FF I was asked not to market my products and I have never done so, but provided information on HEW – which was to provide some guidance on how to use it and I know that many of you have. I have seen a few of you pick it up and see you have been able to benefit from it through your own study. I am pleased with that because I know it’s a great method – even if tough with the degree of detail. All I can say is, good luck to you all and hope HEW helps improve your profitability.

I’m sad I can’t interact with you any more. I’ve enjoyed my chats with you.

Cheers
Ian
