Hi, happy holidays,

I want to give everyone a gift so this is an attempt.

I will first post charts with explanations on them. I really don't have much time right now to go into details.

But as always this is for demo only, don't even attempt to trade it live.

It is not based on any sort of martingale or any risky systems.

Basically we will enter and exit trades based on top BB, mid BB and low BB cross and closes.

Let me post the charts than I will answer each question 1 by 1.

Please don't waste my time with success rate and all that bs. Just try it out yourself and give feed back whether it is positive or negative.

tnx.

"I really dont have much time now so wont go in to details"
"But as always this is for demo only, don't even attempt to trade it live."
"Please don't waste my time with success rate and all that bs"

I dont think I need to say more or explain my comment.

Ok guys I didn't have time to explain things in detail before,
I'm gonna try to clear things up a bit, but explaining things on the chart gets messy sometimes.
So don't just hate it pls ask questions and I will clear things up.
tnx.

I have changed/added to the rules to make it visually clear.
I added fractals indicator for confirming/filtering entries.
Basically the idea is to enter sell or buy orders based on break and close beyond three areas of the bollinger bands. These three points are; Top Bollinger band , Bottom Bollinger band and the Middle Bollinger band.
So we will use price breaking and closing beyond the above mentioned BB lines. We will also manage our trades based on those 3 BB lines. Those lines will serve as entry, exit, management and reversal for our trades. The fractals will be our entry signals.
Here is a sell scenario:

Price is already above Top BB

The price crosses below top BB

We wait for the first fractal to appear at the bottom of a candle.

Once the fractal appears we have to wait for price to break and close below this fractal to enter 2 sell trades of equal lot.

Our Sl for both trades is at the top of the highest fractal above the Top BB.

Our TP for first lot is 1/1. Once the 1/1 is reached we close this trade and bring SL to breakeven for our second trade.
[If price closes below mid BB before 1/1 is reached we bring our SL for both trades to the top of the latest fractal]

If either 1/1 is reached or price closes below mid BB we are in our exit/management/reversal trade phase
so at this point we are tracing our SL to the tops of the latest(lowest) fractal and once the price breaks above this fractal we close our trades. Than once the price closes above this fractal we enter our reversal trade(long trade).

It will get clearer with more examples, This example wasnt the best although it did gain about 30 pips between the two separate lots.

Hi hibra
Nice idea. Always like to look at new ideas and systems! But I think you need to settle on a time frame for this as different time frames highlight different buy/sell areas. Probably H1 is best?
What about utilising BB with the normal settings in addition to the 100 BB? As well as the ema's of course. Looks quite interesting. I will try to post a chart to show what I mean

Tnx. Yah I forgot to mention that I want to try 1hr tf for now. And also Eurusd and high volatility pairs.
As far as normsal settings. I tried it but there isnt much room for profit taking because the bands are too narrow. At the moment I dont want to add more filters like moving averages.
This works great when price is bouncing off the top and bottom BB (ranging market) I will add rule for trending market.

Here is the chart showing the two BB's the smaller setting can pick up the trades in a trend. Using the EMA helps to show where is best re-entry point. Just a suggestion!

How would you use the smaller setting for entries and exits?

I was just thinking of using the central BB line and the 12 EMA crossover for buy/sell. Sorry it's not really your system

Anyway still following that principle, one can see clearly the cross over back down again. On M15 because candle price action was far away from the ema on H1

Worked nicely with Gold on Friday - showing up the accumulation phase which is now the case - so no trade possible on this pair.
Essentially it means that there was no buying interest at the present level until the boys accumulate enough liquidity.

Thank you. I have not traded this system. I wanted someone to automate it. I have more threads that I started having to do with Bollinger bands. You can go to my profile and check out those threads.

I was not successful at getting someone interested in developing EA or Indicators for these systems. It takes too much time for me to manage these types of systems without an EA or alert system.

I hope you enjoy them.
