Hi Piters.
Yours seems to be a nice system. This morning (GMT) it would have caught some beautiful moves. Thanks for sharing. A question about the QQE Alert MTF v5 indicator. Instead of getting a sound alert is there a way to display arrows when the two lines cross each other?. Thank you.

Don't know my friend, I am not a coder, but you can turn OFF the sound. There is a post back on this thread where you can see how to turn the sound Off.

I am glad that system does PIPS for you ..

Cheers

Yeah, I had turned it off already. It would have been nice though to get a visual alert since the lines are always quite close to each other. I take it you don't have the mq4 version either which would allow to play with the code a bit. I searched through the site but I couldn't find it.
Now I would have a few questions if you don't mind.
I noticed you don't mention the EURUSD among the pairs you trade. Do you think it doesn't suit your method?
Can you please tell in your experience what percentage of successful trades your method has, following the rules blindly? I ask this because the EA I saw mentioned before didn't show much success.
I see you never explained how to use the BBs to filter the trades. Do you mind getting on this subject? I was figuring out maybe when the bands keep on displaying a tight range it's time to stop trading?
Thank you.

Ok this time I am going to explain some other systems, or additional tools, incuding BB, but I have to do that over the weekend.

The system is very good, easy entry, quick exits. If you use it only on busy times as I posted before, you shouldn't havve a problems.

EU is nice pair, but I trade YEN pairs. You can trade anything. This system is been tested on OIL futures, DowJones, and gives very good entries.

I am posting sometime some setups on my Journal, and also on Auslanco Thread.

Hey Haxor,

I was waiting for Piters to reply to your post, but it looks like he must be busy with other things...

As Piters mentioned early on in the thread, this system (as so many do) only really works well in a trend (hence the recommendation to only trade it at the openning of the major sessions). All the highlighted trades in the charts you posted were in a range, a big scalpable range, but a range all the same. And when I say it was scalpable, I don't mean using this system.

I've been trading with this setup for just over a week now, and have to say with remarkable sucess, despite the fact that I've been in work for the really big movements we've had this week in eur/usd which is the only pair I trade.
To save myself from exactly the kind of problem trades you highlighted, I've removed the CCI-EMA, and added an 8 period Fisher Transform. I don't think I have any hard and fast rules on how I'm using the 'FT', but basically I don't enter a trade while it's crossed against me, and I exit or move stop to breakeven if it crosses against me soon after entry. I will also enter based on the FT before the other indicators (particularly the MA's) have crossed if everthing looks like it's lineing up, and volume supports it.

I'm trading two 'lots', one of which I cover at somewhere between 10 pips and whatever the first swing sensibly gives you. Then I cover the second half based on some MA cross, the FT, or any unusual volume, this really depends on the speed of the market. Stop is always moved to break even when 10 pips in profit. Opening stop is always 8 pips + spread.

I've attached the Fisher Transfor indicator and the template I'm using for anyone who might find them interesting.

I must also give huge thanks to Piters who with this system has made my trading much less stressful, and much more profitable. Long may that continue for me and everyone else :-)

Hi dbfm,

Thank you for your reply. Which feed do you use for volume?

Hi Piters. This looks like an interesting system. I've been fighting trading boredom lately, and need some fresh strategies to keep things interesting. Looks like you're using QQE60 with the "fast" line. Maybe that's best for scalping. Anyhow, I'll give it a try with small lots and see if it's a good fit for me.

Thanks!

I'm just using the demo servers from ODL Securities, but honestly I don't think where the information comes from is so important. The tick volume you get for Forex can never be anywhere near as accurate as stock or futures volume might be, but even if you just look at the tick volume from a single broker, it gives you an idea whether there was buying and selling, or just buying or selling in a given bar/price point.

I learnt everything I know about volume from the book "The Undeclared Secrets That Drive Stock Market" by Tom Williams. It's well worth finding a copy, it taught me without any doubt that if you're only looking at price and not volume then you're ignoring at least half the information available to you.

Just as a side note if you do happen to search the file sharing networks for the book..avoid "Master the Markets" which is Tradeguider's newer incarnation of the same text. They've cut some really important stuff out of it, though it still gives the basic idea and is pretty interesting.

Bro, hindsight is 20/20: BUT, if you look at what came before on your chart, the market was in a consolidation pattern and one needs to wait for it to break out of this pattern or trade it differently (like with a 5,3,3 stochastic).

If you've got one line appearing, the other must 'be there'. Check your colors, and settings using the edit indicator function...

Hi All

What do these guys do?

On the first page with the rules they are not mentioned except they are on the template. Are they used when trading higher TF's?

regards all+Happy New Year!
