Been kind of quiet around the room, nice to see some action lol

Anyway a lot going for gbp reversal...notice last swing center of gravity, the the reaction at the up trend line (short flag pattern) and the reversal...turning out nice, may be able to pay the rent after all lol

Also, trade based on Gann regarding angles....

Hi Swede ,
When I look at your post I feel that was an art not chart for trading. Beautiful chart . I think i should learn how to be an artist before i can trade like you.

I do not think we can use profitably ONE tooL only.

Hereunder on TradingView you can draw manually in less than one minute a Gann Square

8 Time Units = 8 x 1/2 H = 4 Hours
16 Price Units = 16 x 10 points

Hence you get a Gan Square 1/2 H / 20 Points

The green angle is a 45° angle .

Note ths 45° Angle is very close of the blue (1x1) Angle (1/2 H / 20 points) which is also a Moving Average

Hence as Long as Price Action fluctuates ABOVE the 45° Angle / (1x1) Angle, Price Action Trend is UP and STRONG

Notice that Price Action breaks the 45° Angle / (1x1) Angle in the vicinity of the Center of Gravity of the Square

The Center Of Gravity of the Square is the place where the Vertical Time Line, the Diagonal Ascending and Descending (1x1) Angle and the Horizontal (4x8) Line cross together

Notice that you can locate the Vertical Time Line at the heighth of the Center of Gravity which translates the chart slightly on the right.

In the present case the Time Unit used = 1 1/8 Time Unit used by TradingView

The key information is that the Time Unit or the Price Unit can be whatever it is.

That is what Gann called a "vibration". Gann precises that every financial instrument has its own vibration.

But this Price "vibration" is not only 1 cent , 1 Dollar, 1 Euro etc or the Time Vibration 1 minute, 1 Hour, 1 Day etc both "Vibrations" can be not "normalized"

Note that you can also position the Vertical Time Line on the Top (T) or the Low (L)

Note also that on a Long Time chart this methodology is very "stable"

Very interesting topic!! Price and time forecasting it's the real trading but i never really success on time forecasting.. read few materials mainly form Bryce Gilmore but never saw utility and accuracy on timing..

For price forecast i really enjoy to use Andrew's Pitchfork combined with Fibs channels and stander fibs... i notice that some pairs just don't react that good on Pitchforks but in some, like GY it's amazing how respect price levels.. Also i like move to move from pitchfork to new pitchfork or Weekly pitchfork's combine with H1 Pitchfork.. Just example below..

As I’ve said in the past, when Gann developed his methods he designed them for futures and equities that traded a few hours per day...nothing like today with 24 hour trading and a forex industry that trades 5 trillion dollars per day, so I agree it is very hard to get the time factor with true accuracy. But the angles, the division of the impulse waves can be super accurate, same with the forks and other methods that use angles analyses...anyway good post you LuckyPunk!! Lol

a common mistake about TIME, GANN use time factor in all his applications, but time PREDICTION is totally deferent.

when GANN predicted the closing price for wheat at 1.2 by the end of the day, the price was 1.08 at the time, he has a lot of factors involved, a 100 years of data for wheat, he know planetary cycles, and he know the math behind it(might be the secret he did not share with the world)

so, if you want to trade something, but do not have the full data or knowledge of planetary cycles or the math involved, there is no sense chasing TIME PREDICTION.

the next best thing, is to use other application of GANN that involve TIME FACTOR, the concept is simple, square time and price to get correct angles. you will see accurate paths and direction and major S/R clearly.

another common mistake, GANN (and Fibonacci) tools are measuring tools NOT analysis, you measure from major starting points ONCE to keep track of correct T&P cycles and angles.
analyzing the trading price should be based on S/R levels of the fixed measurements.

examples using SQ360 method

I agree, Futures and Stocks are very different than FX and volumes etc.. did change A LOT over time so that may the one of reasons..
Still i'm not saying Time Prediction its worthless, im saying to me it is kind pointless but i'm short term oriented trader

I will look into Angles using the materials in this in here as i was always curious but never deep dive into the subject.
