What about profit percentage?

Hi all... I am a dedicated forex trader and have been trading live for 4 months. First of all, I want to thank all of the guys here for helping and sharing their knowledge with newbies. As all of you know forex is a great challenge, hardest way to make easiest money. Anyway, I have tried a few systems, won and lose, but no consistency. All I have learned is you should not give up and always improve your knowledge and some basics as money management and psycology. At the end of the day, all that matters is making money consistently. My question is what profit percentage the succesfull part time or full time traders do here? I just wanna hear some experienced and consistent traders stories. I truly believe the power of compounding and consistency. It does not matter how many pips you make, all matters is profit percentage and risk management. I can see the light at the end of the way and people who really want to succeed will succeed sooner or later. Thanks again guys and waiting for your answers eagerly.

I think this is a great question and think it's one most newbies need to read. Far to many times we here exhorbant income claims in forex. However, if all those claims were correct the richest people inthe world would be forex investors not Warren Buffet and Bill Gates.

To answer your question. I risk 2 precent of account balance using 50:1 leverage on each trade and average about 1 precent a week in profits on total account.

That 1 precent a week is higher than my expected return of about 20% a year.

very good question...

i could say, sometimes i win, sometimes i loose... my maximum drawdown last month was something around 5% as in unrealized loss... from now, compared to one month ago... 3% up on equity, got 5% gain on balance, but still some open positions...
but i think i have to be more consistent and in a few more month i could give u a real answer
