{quote} Hi Dave, I don't mind at all. Swingman's fractals is great with Nih's system ... am sure some guys will benefit from your charts. May I know which "spot signal box" you are referring to, in your reply to Ben?

{quote} Hi Ben Thank you for that reminder, it seems I do say that to you a lot, again you are correct to bring the Signal Box to our attention, (in my case again) and yes it,s a case of my eyes see it but I have never showed the value, purpose and understanding why Nih98 as taken the trouble in it's creation. Great spot Signal box, ADR add to reasons not to be greedy, as another trade will always come along Thanks Ben for the nudge Dave

Not a problem Dave, if I can add my 2 cents worth to help others understand NIH's system better, everyone may benefit.

When we first discussed the Signal Box n how we may benefit from the various signals, the mechanics need to be understood. I will continue working on it as time permits.

Swingman and others work give us some good entry n exits, but the overriding element for my style of trading is his RSI.

Ben

Hi
What about range expectation, when we hit the low of the day, we met the average ADR so to hit our Buy target we would have to well exceed it, I would not take the trade on, for that reason, even thought it was an easy winner due to a news spike, is that a fair reason ?

Just a quick reminder that the Risk Box style Method is Set and forget Method, which can be traded without any other indicators if required

Well guys, I have given you everything I have, managed to to get an excellent PDF produce containing all Nih98 post's and screenshots, given you my thoughts and idea's (good or bad) how I am trying to trade the Nih98 way and even a few non Nih98 entry & exit style trades.
Think it maybe time to offer the lead role to someone else now, in the hope the thread will survive, making some great traders on the way, and for-fill my biggest hope that the inspiration which is Nih98 will return.
I will always be here looking learning and watching but as I have said like my friend Parisboy I can only post the same thing everyday because it works perhaps some days better than others but it works. so as I have said I am here to help the best way I can, but it's really up to yourselves now
Thanks Ben for covering my back and the kick up the backside
Dave
p.s
No help if it's requested by p.m, it must be by thread only and with a chart

Dave,

Somethings to think about----Is the trader awake and alert because some of my comments may not be appropriate if the signals cannot be studied properly if they are half asleep at the wheel.

Firstly I need to go get that wet fish for you---ready-----------here it comes

Trade what you see NOT WOT YOU THINK.---That dumb ass thing between yer ears is a problem for traders--and that includes me, so not picking on you or anyone in particular

What do you know about news--which news is important whats not important-----yeah yeah yeah after the event, everyone can say they knew the answer----BS

1--Wot T.F. were you looking at firstly----(eg Dly, 1Hr or 15 min---or maybe less?????)
2--NIH's little gem.
3--Wot conclusions came from each assessment of those views
4--I tried to help kellycml B4 so this applies to her s well.
5--Define for me the Long---Short MA's position----then add the RSI direction.
6--If all that failed draw a simple Trend Line off the price and see if that says anything to you.
7--And I haven't even started on Divergences yet.
8--TARGETS---------Limit your ability to maximize profits, but like you show 1:1 risk reward maybe that's all you want, but that flies against your message of 150 pips from a 100 ADR in another post.

So go to it everyone and yes there were a few hidden messages from Swingmans work that suggested you could and perhaps should have taken that long trade, with the appropriate Stop/Loss protection in place.

And NO I ain't gonna post a picture for you at this stage--(NIH and Swingman already done that) I may at a later date, depends on answers to the above, but putting the fish back in the fridge till it's needed again.
Ben

{quote} Hi Ben Always a pleasure to receive a Wet Fish from you, your post proves to me once you have your mindset right, there is no limit with the combination of tools we have Dave ps Guys I am resting the Risk Box 1:1 method as per discussion ( I am still trading it) but it is a very simple method using decent MM, think you can make pips, and to be honest if you do not understand how to do it now, well you should not be trading, I really do see the value of Nih98,Swingman Method so all my efforts will be focused on my understanding of what they...

Hi Dave,
Not so easy to keep the 'wet fish' eh?

Like you, I'm still trying to "master" Nih98 + Swingman's method...the learning continues.

When you come to the party late you missed the point.

He got a "Smack in the Belly, with a Wet Fish" for not following my instructions.

[quote=OAPDave;12454045]{quote} The thing I spotted with Nih98 is that he as covered all the bases and each indicator is there because it does a job, so I truly believe once mastered we will have a skill for life,

Dave,
Ongoing Education for you.

Indicators---as used in the box.
He uses Fast 8
A Slow 17
and
A 9 signal

For his MACD

To better understand that apply it to a chart and check different time frames.

One size does not fit all----------so how did he arrive at his settings--------if you don't know, and I don't, do some work on it and see what you come up with.

Only reply if interested as I am a busy at the moment with our son in hospital, very sick after falling from his dirt bike--Blood clots and excess fluid in the lungs, he is in bad shape, unable to breath properly and severe pain, think he thought he could fly but did not remember that God forgot to give him wings.

Kelly,
Well for you we have a special type of treatment for guilty players.

If you don't learn the rules you gonna get a:-

"Poke in the Eye with the sharp end of a stick"

ps you can nominate which eye.

Hi Ben,

For now I prefer to keep both eyes safe, as you said we need to use what's between our ears for the charts

Will study your post #737 and revert, if I find the answers. Meanwhile, hope your son gets well soon. Take care and thank you.

Hi Dave n Kelly,
Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Just received a text from him an they ahve moved him out of the intensive care dept now and he is resting in a new bed with specialist doctors having seen him and a new program for tomorrow morning---so all in all I am much relieved.

I am happy to be diverted away from hospital activity so I will spend a little time here B4 going to bed shortly.---Type of mental therapy for me.

Dave you are on FIRE mate, that is real progress in my opinion---we need to bring Kelly along with us here, I hope she can understand what you have done on the chart, if not please say so Kelly. In my opinion Dave has identified a remarkable tool which we can use, when understood, it will be a great help to us.

Dave, If time permits extend your work and increase it to higher time frames please, don't worry if it doesn't look right, I spent a long time understanding the dam concept but we will get it.

OK a quik roundup of my 4 screens--GBP crosses (15 min)------/jpy and /NZD and /AUD and /USD and /CAD

NIH's work indicates a similar start for the down move approx. 2 hrs ago and in 1 case approx 4 hrs ago.---and as we type the upmove is similar over 30 to 45 mins.

For me, n hopefully you guys the "BOX" has the right colour for M1 n M15.

My Fractals are also at low levels--I wont elaborate on that as we may all have different settings, but in general comment "Oversold"

Great work tonight, hope I get a reply from Kelly in the morning.

Goodnite from "the Land Downunder"
n
Ben

Hi emonts,
I just saw your post n picture on the Bike---My son is in hospital after an attempt at flying thru the air without "Angel Wings"

He is seriously hurt and fighting to breath with severe Pulmonary Embolisms in the lungs surrounded by fluid--I am sure you understand.

Stick to trading--you may suffer going broke but it wont be bones.

If we can help you, just ask.

Kind regards
Ben
