{quote} Correct me if I am wrong, but the present entry only comes after the 3rd dot on the candles? I am requesting that we can adjust that ourselves during this testing phase as 3rd candle is too slow. Thanks for your time. Sorry I omitted the screenshot. {image}

Please do not change the rules, you seem to misunderstand that there is no rule that says we enter on 3rd dot...we enter on a dot when all other criteria are met.

It is not difficult to understand really, that is why there are rules.

Plus your entry is wrong it should be one candle back...looking at your screen shot.

Chris, I am not trying anything of the sort. Sorry that you see it that way.
That entry was the EA trading, not manual.
I totally agree with your recommendation that the entry should have been one candle earlier.

Yes the EA got that wrong then and Retina will need to address that in her formula.

Nevertheless, when you wrote...

...it seems to me that is a rule change.

Chris,

Why do you think the EA missed this long @ 16h45 close on my M15-chart.

2 candles earlier we had an arrow + a Green dot.

16h45 candle the readings were as follows: WPR @ -20.4080 ( therefore above the -20 level) and the 55-ema @ -26,8342.

Vol oscillator on Yellow.

Thanks for replying at your convenience.

Hey Hercs

You need to read the first post...that is not a valid buy, by any means.
Can you please post an answer to your question so we know you grasp the rules.LOL

I changed to M30 because M15 had too much noise. M30 trades are better spaced and less frequent

Verdict: Decent results

So, you find it funny Chris?
Me too.

So maybe I jumped the gun as there was no 2nd Green DOT? But once again, why did that EA not trigger?

Here are the rules from P.1 unless you have changed it, but you suggest I reread post #1 so here it is:

Best,

Hercs.

PS. Just downloaded the latest EA so I am anxious to see what happens now.
Pleasant weekend.

@Hercs
Yes you read the first post and all the answers were in front of you but still you missed it.

Thats OK, mate, I will describe where you are confused. Consider the following...

In order for the signal to be a buy, we need the Williams%R to go below the -80 line, then we need the arrow to print, after which we are looking for a candle with a dot and the Williams%R to have crossed, back above, the -80 line and be above the 55ema. All while the volume indi. is in agreement.

I have highlighted the flaw in your reasoning...Just having a bit of fun.

Chris

I would suggest using the 15min thru to the daily TFs to mitigate losses.

Here with 2.0 of EA, do we need to update any of the indicators?

Here are the results of manual tests from May 05 2019 until today.

These results are from trading XAUUSD 15min to daily and XAGUSD 4hr and Copper 15min.

Not all the trades are accounted for as I sleep and work, I do place stop and limit orders if I have missed a trade, but they don't always get triggered. I close some trades in more profit or more loss due to the time I can get to close them.

I am assuming it all averages out...

Chris

Hi Salim

I treat each TF as if it was a different chart altogether.

If you treat them as a different chart that's ok. In that case, you have 5 charts (15m,1H,4H,D,W). But the trading decision you take from which TF chart?
