Sorry for the somewhat late response-- not ignoring you, just been a busy few days, hope you'll forgive me

The backtester is hard coded by MetaQuotes, so it allows for hedging. We are considering a possible intraday hedge solution at Interbank FX, LLC. We are also anticipating allowing customers of IBFX UK to hedge if and when our FSA registration is approved.

This is a very good news... As IBFX's MT4 has 5 digit, what should I do to change my EA from 4 digit for compatible ?

I'm quite certain now that Interbank FX has the units wrong for execution duration on their performance page. It should be seconds, not milliseconds.

Below are some of my execution statistics over the past week from a demo account at Interbank FX that was made by an Expert Advisor that I programmed.

The ping duration from my terminal to their server is 8ms, so to get Interbank FX's execution duration at their end, deduct 0.008 from the value that you see in the table below.

The average execution duration is 0.274s.

Interbank FX, please stop displaying false information on your web site.

You will need to modify it and add code elsewhere in your own Expert Advisor , e.g. to open a CSV file for writing.
Attached is Interbank FX's execution duration column graph over the first week of January. How realistic is an execution duration of 868 microseconds, when the average that I got over the past week was 274 milliseconds (or if you account for ping duration, 266ms)?

Interbank FX are either mathematically incompetent (don't know the correct units of measurement to use) or are deceptive. Either one are undesirable. It has been this way since they first published performance statistics on their web site, which makes it even worse whichever of the two cases are true. To think that these guys are handling your money could be worrying.

Everyone should be recording execution statistics by using code like what I posted above. Brokers make money from our ignorance e.g. by slipping our orders. If you don't record statistics then you would not know that your order was slipped and by how much.

So, we should all record statistics and share in this forum who the worst brokers are. Interbank FX are not bad with execution compared with other brokers. The main problem I raised here was not that their execution was bad, but that they show false information on their web site.

i don't think the 2 tickcounts your using have anything to do with the order being sent between them....

so there is no way you could derive order execution time by knowing the time lapse between the 2 tickcounts.....

i'm not sure there is a way someone could accurately determine the execution time by using any function metatrader..... and as mentioned before, your definition of execution time might be different than ibfx's.......h

It seems like a misnomer, as it has nothing to do with received data ticks from the MetaTrader server.
But when you see that there is a Windows function called GetTickCount that does the same thing, it's obvious that MetaQuotes simply reused the name, as the MQL GetTickCount() probably calls the Windows GetTickCount(): GetTickCount Function

Yes, it is used as a timer.

It is NOT the time lapse between received data ticks. The word "tick" relates to CPU ticks of your terminal computer.
