i am not actually trading real money with them, just use them as a backup but this is somethihg that i noticed more than once already: on Fridays, one of the last bars is huge. if you think of it, at that time many other brokers are already closed, so this is not really traceable in a way that you can not go to other feed to compare the spike.
Probably, from their point of view it is a safe stop running?
see attached.

i noticed that too. It could be stop running, but i have no clue. There is a somewhat smaller EURJPY spike at 22:45 (same time), so i think its more of a datafeed issue. I deleted both from my history via the history center because it screwed up my volatility calcs.

now it gets even more interesting - take a look at how the same chart looks right after they opened on Sunday. no traces of a spike, they removed it! i did not touch anything in the history center. Traders beware!

Well, if its been removed, any trade that was triggered by it would definitely be reversed dont you think?

trade possibly, but if your stop would be triggered on friday, you would not know what happens on sunday. so, i believe they are cleaning stops this way on fridays and then remove the spikes from the feed so that no traces left afterwards.

Could it be just a glitch in their system? Could any trade or stop triggered have been corrected/refunded? Was anything triggered at all? Before we know all this, we can't make a judgement.

How many times have we seen the same thing happen on IBFX platform? More times than I can remember.

I was also concerned about the spike, and wondering if they did it deliberately to run stops. I didn't have any stops set so I don't know if they wouldve been taken out or not. I also trade with EFX and they didnt register that spike at all, although they were also still open. If someone's stops were hit, and then not reversed, then I would like to know, as thats... JUST.... NOT..... RIGHT!

to me, the fact that there was a spike is less important than the fact that they removed it afterwards. why would they do it?
i remember the same exactly situation on nf a couple of weeks ago. it was on gbp/chf - another big mover. there was a big spike in the last hour of friday, when many other brokers are closed, and then no spike once they opened on sunday. if the price did hit this level, i would have been stopped in my real position on ibfx, but it never happened.
again, i just use nf as an ulternative feed so i don't care what they do. if you happen to trade real money with them, then this is the problem.

If it is a ghost spike, it is better to remove it as it skews it for people doing technical analysis. You would have an incorrect open price, high, low, close.

North Finance had had some nasty spikes in the past, but they are getting better.

You'll still find the odd one or two, here and there, but not as bad as they used to be.
