I think one of the most difficult endeavors one could face.. Is starting with a 1k deposit, doubling in within half a year while maintaining a decent enough DD.

Truth be told, with a ROI of at least 100% a year, I'm OK with a 30-40% DD.

I agree with you on these numbers because in the end you are risking 40% to make 100% that means R:R of 1:2.5 that is good.

A methodology that works fine in ranging and trending markets is for example Supply & Demand but it's hard to automate it.

Thanks

If any of you guys can high light a well working "instruments strength" displaying tool (or indicator),might be half of work seems done as per my little knowing, though i tested numerous toys of same line in since many years but i am not satisfied with any of those hundreds - why a trader should be rush in ranging market situations (sorry, though am talking against the thread topic)
i am taking in consideration traders, those afford account level from 500 US to 5000 US,and this is the majority of retail traders in the whole online trading community, there are so many good and winning strategies and tools but always mostly (if not all) fails and clean their accounts in ranging/choppy market situations

Ciao VEEFX
If you are trading regardless of market conditions of price levels means you are using a hedging or grid strategy I guess.
Would you mind to explain a bit your approach?
I read some of your posts in the thread you mentioned but didn't really understood your approach.
Regards

I have a winning strategy and need some ea creators to help on it...
step 1: A new order to be opened (buy or sell)
step 2: Two pending stop orders to be placed above and below above order at x pips
step 3: If one of the pending triggered, other to be deleted.
step 4: Repeat step 2
step 5: All open & pending orders to be closed at x $ profit
can anyone help

There has to be more filters. Otherwise you would end up with too many open orders and you would just accumulate negative swap overtime. Tested and proven.

This kind of strategy has been shared thousand of times and hundred's of grid EA's available over internet based on this. Always fails in trend.

@carddard

I have a methodology that works fine in trending/ranging market and is called Supply & Demand.
I don't know if it can be automated but I'm using it manually.
Maybe can be an idea for you to consider.

To improve the performance of the methodology is necessary to use some sort of recovery system instead of taking the loss time to time.
I know the following recovery systems:
1) Grid: good in ranging but bad in trending markets.
2) Hedge: good in trending but bad in ranging markets.

My question for you is: do you know something a bit more smarter than the above recoveries?

Regards

My immediate thoughts on this are to study the currency pairs a little bit more closely. If you look hard enough there are areas of high probability entries. The way I see this is, a good exit strategy is like a bullet proof vest that shields you from shrapnels. You still may get hit once in a while or even killed. On the other hand, a good entry method may mean avoiding the war altogether so you minimize your chances of getting killed.

If you are still on the journey of figuring out the best recovery method, my genuine advice is to focus on the entries instead. That is much more valuable. Just my 2 cents!

On a side note, I'm happy to help code proofs of concept for any idea that is worth the while. I have done that on some occasions for some members in the forum.

I don't think VEEFX while share anything.
It's looks like he found his holy grail and obviously cannot be disclosed to the public otherwise market will not exist anymore and brokers could get bankrupted.
Congratulations to him.

Let's return to our discussion between us.

First of all you need to learn education.
Calling Idiot people that don't share your views is a bit of being arrogant.
So go back to your mom and dad and learn basic rules of educations.
After if you want you can back over here as nobody has been rude with you.
That's it

{quote} Last post here until OP expresses his desire for me to contribute. For those who know the Millipede strategy by PipEasy who started his thread in 2011. He repeatedly used the phase "MARKETS ARE NEUTRAL AND UNIVERSAL". I don't think anyone bothered to truly understand the underlying depth of this sentence I know I did not for years and years until broke even from my losses 3 yrs and took a break from trading to assess what went wrong in my journey. None of what I was doing could be quantified by facts and data. None of the strategies I have...

Isn't this the point of this thread though? We can't predict which it will be. That's why there are mentions in this thread of how to take advantage of a system that works in each condition. Surly if you take two trading systems, one that works in ranging and one that works in trending then you have a strategy that works in any condition therefore conditions don't matter. The debate is how do we create a system like that because it's not as easy as just adding two systems together.
