The true face of retail forex traders. The only "successful" trader (Charlie) is there to promote his training program ... Can't find it on you tube anymore... I wonder why. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4msgwh

Nothing like a chirpy thread to start off the New Year, eh? Anyhow...

Regarding Charlie, he's still very active, as is his website. I attended a traders' beer meet in London City just two nights ago and a mate of mine was chatting about his mate who's currently on Charlie's mentoring program and seems to be doing well with it. I won't post details because I don't wish to be consigned to Commercial status but one thing I will say about Charlie is that he takes all trades live in his own trading room (unlike some of the commercial members on FF who invent all manner of exotic reasons why they don't do the same).

I am interested in suicide among discretionary retail traders, who usually suffer the greatest psychological and financial distress and would be less likely to attract major news coverage. Does anyone have any articles or anecdotes to share about retail trader suicides?

You make no money, thats why you're on a trading forum talking about suicide.

Every post i read from you is crying about how FX trading doesnt work.

Every major loss I've ever taken was my own fault. Either due to not knowing what I was doing or focusing on how much I was down rather than doing what I needed to do. In fact; aside from those major losses(which in retrospect were trades that I had dozens of good chances to profit from) the profits have come effortlessly. Losing traders have no one but themselves to blame.

As George Soros said; "I'm only rich because I know when I'm wrong... I basically have survived by recognizing my mistakes".

That picture looks like an icon. Left out a word before-save. We not only have a soul everything made infinitely worse for it by suicide, we have a soul to save. That idea is what parents who care about the destiny of their offspring have a responsibility before God to try to instill.

It is of course possible to win a few pips here and there. That is how people get hooked.
Once they are hooked then feeding the monster becomes a losing battle.

Disprove this:

https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...9#post10679379

If new traders come into the game:
1) they lose and quit
2) they lose at first and then become winners or they win and keep on winning
3) they keep on losing and don't quit

if 1) then there are no winners in this game long term
if 2) then the game contains high percentage winners long term
if 3) then the game is made up of high percentage losers long term

Since 2) is clearly not an actual fact, it's evident that retail forex is a loser's game.

All 3 are true.

1 happens most of the time and it is designed that way on purpose...
2 happens rarely but that's why we don't really care for silly arguments...
3 happens often and that's why the business survives...

Everyone gets what they want. It's not my job to tell others what they want.

If someone decides they are going to become a trader then it's only a matter of time. I made that decision when I was a child before I even knew what it was called. If I didn't know that it was possible to do and that I was going to do it, despite having absolutely no guidance, then I probably would have committed suicide many years ago. I lost the most important things in my life because I had a dream that no one else understood. My unwavering conviction that my dream was possible and that I didn't lose everything for nothing is what kept me alive.

The only thing I have to say to you if you're still not profitable is...

Very disturbing.

They have a agenda.

Its like there is a thread of 10 years called CHOROS here. A very famous thread. The guy claims to make 3 percent per daily. He still posts. And makes 30-40 average daily.

He trades lots of hundreds. he said on the thread.

Managed to find out who he is, I worked for scotland yard police here in the UK. So was my job, and tracked down his ( thread starter ) location. He lives in a poor one bedroom flat and has a very average car.

The lies that people believe. To me this is a crime what he does.

The internet is place where people can live out their dreams. That said, I know a person or two who are very well off, but they believe that materialism is a disease, and so they appear impoverished. Just putting it out there.

I can say to you only this. Brokers do not want you to lose. It is suicidal on their part. If everyone loses, who is left to trade and collect commissions?

Brokers want you to win. If you are winning, then you will pay larger commissions as your size grows.

Everyone loses at first, mainly because they think they are smarter than price. When you humble yourself and just do what you are told, you will be just fine in FX, or any other market. I don't understand why you would say FX is the crack of the financial instruments. It makes no sense. Do you trade anything beyond FX?
