Well done, so you've increased your account from $200.00 to $226.00.

Is that your account size? I never mentioned my account size before so more assumptions on your part. So if a trader at a hedge fund tells you he or she made 5% this month are you going to assume he or she is trading a 200 bucks account! See where I am going with this or do you need more spoon feeding?

Very well said!! Many people just seem to want a turn-key method without actually learning how to trade. Just look at the threads asking people to post their most profitable method or their edge or an EA that is over 90% or such as that. Had a guy a few weeks ago PM to see how I trade because I had sent his buddy some old statements when I was showing him how I trade. I sent this guy a copy of my chart and before I even explained what I do, he told me never mind because I have indicators on my chart and he thinks indicators are evil or something like that. Heck, when I was starting out years ago, if someone told me what was successful for them, I would have followed to the letter!!

My recommendation: Don't try to be a cool trader....be a successful trader and buy a cool car!!

Yes.....I use volume. Volume and Divergence are the only leading indicators.

Understand that there is a Market Maker with a huge bankroll that can move the Market anyway he needs to for his benefit. The majority of traders will get creamed at any given moment. The few on the other side are allowed to win. That's how he makes his money for his bank and himself. He knows what the majority of traders are going to do (they all read the same trading books) and where their stops are. That's why most people lose. Higher time frames are more predictable.

When the Market Makers books are out of balance, he needs to shift price the other way.

It's all about looking at the negative side instead of building up expectations, it just makes you lose your mind, and focus.

Losing your mind when investing is very common.

and yeah making people feel guilty wont work...it's actually counterproductive.

I know 4 traders in real life, btw they have a job and 3 of them own a degree. One was thinking he could make lots of money with 1 euro, this one was the smartest as he lost 10 euro overall xD. another invested ALL of his savings in the Apple stock and made 50%... that's all we know.

the other was a rich stock trader who claimed he was making millions EVERY MONTH.. I don't see him around anymore, probably he ended up desperate ?

the other totally lost his mind.. last time I saw him he was taling about "risk free" investments and of course he was asking for money.

I'm blessed that I always started relatively small, thanks to leverage it's not impossible, assuming that you're young and have a lot of time.

However too high leverage has been a disgrace!! so I thank the ESMA because since july I just trade well.. I don't feel like increasing the risk per trade, simply because I CAN'T lol

Basically all I needed was leverage restriction......it's so easy to make serious mistakes and nobody is immune, especially in the first couple years.

Successful and profitable traders are two different things. To be profitable you must have the right balance between following rules and staying up to date in the market. To be successful you need a lot of money or go balls to the wall.

Most are hard to find because they don't have time to waste in a forum, or they are busy enjoying the fruits of their labor. My latest wife is shopping, spending all my trading profits as fast as I can earn them. That gives me time to sit and post a bit. Some websites such as trading tribe have actual successful traders there to answer questions. I suppose those traders just enjoy the social interaction. Happy trading. - G

Successful traders aren't hard to find, people are just sick and tired of being burnt by the shit they are being sold, so when they do finally find something that is worthy of digging their teeth into they don't persist and quit and jump to the next big false promise, to be honest, most wouldn't know a good trader even if they tripped over him, but they here, and another big issue is most want to be spoon fed, very few are willing to fight to achieve what they want, GW

I'm not sure about others. i personally did manual trading myself and did pretty well. Also started using an EA in parallel which is giving me standard 10%-20%.

I'm not marketing here. But sharing my views.

Its true in one sense, we are human and it is our phycology that is very difficult to satisfy with what we have. Every trader is successful in their own way. Trade without greed, you will consider yourself a successful trader.
Ignored

That's very true. many worry about being understood and seen as successful, but they don't understand that if they act as maniacs nobody will understand them.

The very few times I talk about trading I mention programming and risk management.
guess what they all understand me and ask questions, therefore I guess they consider me as successful.

Are you an EA developer or anything else? Why you left the manual trading?
