Hi guys,
I'm inclined to deposit on Pepperstone but I want to ask you what could make IC and Tick better than Pepper, convincing me to change my idea.
If you could recommend one and tell me why, i would really appreciate it

(p.s. : if that can help you, i'm a trader ((0-3 days per position)) with less than <15 trades per month )

IC is a good one. If you have a smaller account, they let you do paypal deposits and withdraws, so you can avoid wire transfer fees too. You should also check out Global Prime. Their leverage is lower at 100:1 (although they'd likely let you bump it up to 200:1), but people have given them nothing but 5 star reviews. They are a really good broker too. They'd probably fit the bill for your trading style.

I think both of them are a reliable brokers but be careful if your using IC they can change your leverage without any notice and such thing could lead to extreme losses in you open positions not sure if pepperstone have the right to do the same but i suggest you check with them. Good luck

Hi @profitfarmer
what's your experience with IC? And, for what you know, in what it could be better than Pepperstone (if you have exp with it) ? ('cause people usually tend to compare them)

i have accounts with IC, and also Axi that is a relative new account.
i think IC has little tighter spread, the rest is quite similar, though my Axi is opened onder the FXA regulation.
between my own some some managed account there is a decent size deposit there, no one had problem with payments, etc.
few small execution issues here and there, but i can say without any bigger problem in the past 3 years, so, generally i am happy with them.

whichever you choose, i suggest you sign up with an IB to get an instant commission reduction from the 7$/lot...deal dependent, but 5.5$/lot is easy to find.
not sure how frequent you plan to trade, i put thru a relative large amount of lots, so, end of the month it makes a difference.
there is always, always another trade!!

I've been using IC for the past 8 months, and quite satisfied with their forex trading conditions. Tight spread, fast execution, no requotes or other bs anomalies.

However, I found it's weak in stock index CFD, energy, and precious metal. They don't offer micro lots and max lot size is capped to 100 or 250 lots.
Another complaint is the amount of historical data for back testing for MT5 platform. I can only find around 3 month data for stock index, and around 1 year data for forex pairs. (It's difficult -- if not impossible -- to import data on MT5 platform.)

On the other hand, FxCM and FxPro have good stock related products. Their trading conditions for those products are simply better though Forex pairs' spread is not good.

Wonder if there is any good broker with tight forex spread and good stock/commodity products?

Anyway, i'm testing ctrader IC platform but i'm having a strange issue...
In Ic markets close at 21:50 on friday, while in Pepperstone at 22:50
It's not a problem about my user time, infact in PS are visible more candles at the end.

It's my fault/bug platform or in IC markets close 1 hour earlier?

So does IC have 1 hour of tradingtime less than PS?
just so I clearly understand

edit :
I asked the support the reason of that and they told me :

"The reason is because this is demo account.
Real accounts do not experience this."

So it's all ok

If i am not mistaken, IC markets is a sister company of Pepperstone.

I am using IC market's ctrader and somehow it got mistakenly linked to Pepperstone's ctrader. Also, notice how similar their website design is.

Two different business numbers. Two different financial licenses. Two different founders and owners. Why do you think both are sister companies? Because of a generic website design?

According to this article I've read, IC Markets is a true ecn broker.
http://www.thesearcherslist.com/2017...t-spreads.html

While I've heard that Pepperstone and Tickmill, are actually Market Maker brokers.

You may be wrong for the simple reason that while Pepperstone accepts Nigeria traders, IC markets doesn't.
Make all possible mistakes in Demo and rain in pips in live account
