EURAUD M5 PASR Trend Trading:

1. 1st TP = 25pips.

2. 2nd TP = 50pips, but close it manually because of the support sighted very close to my TP, so close with 21.3pips.

Happy Trading,
Yomi.

Just to make sure I haven't misunderstood the concept of swing confirmation, was this a swing low confirmation on UJ H1?

Thanks

My option: yes correct, as the close of the confirmation candle is above the high of the swing low candle.

{quote}{quote}{quote} Updating this trade for completeness. Third position off (last Thursday) at 73.10. Updated chart shows just one of my original long positions ,entered 30 November, along with entry set up for recent shorts ( couple of SS, position of second important wrt broken up-trend line, retracement back to upper wick of the first SS, followed by entry bar - of course, relative position of all of this wrt to HTF charts is key!!!): {image} Plan remains in play - I am neither a buyer nor a seller at these prices. Very good but did you really do this with PASR or are you still using your indicators and EA junk?

How did you know to exit where you did? I don't see any support and resistance levels on your chart.

Which Emirate are you in?

Hi Strat,

Another analysis on GBP JPY. Looks like interesting times ahead.

Big Boss: Long term down trend and immediate uptrend. Big boys didn't show interest on this pair for the last few months. However, now they seem to be interested in pushing the price down. Significant monthly support 148.19 looks to be breaking. As usual, we need to wait for today's close(being end of the month close) for it to close below that. I am not predicting waiting and watching.

Boss: The supporting trend line that has been supporting since the beginning of the hammer on 2nd October, looks to be breaking. WCC also under threat. Again, we need to wait until end of this week to confirm anything. The last upper trend in the weekly charts didn't have much of momentum going up. Keeping a watch.

Worker: The last LL is at 146.927 which is a significant support even in the past. Price is close to the support. Breaking that support (only by a close of candle beyond that support) is significant for us to wait for PA and enter. Overall keeping a watch.

Now strat's feedback please.

GBPNZD fail hello Saw the below marked candle earlier and thought it might be a good entry. {image} So I marked down the price and thought to check for H1 SR afterwards, and saw price on top of S/R. Exited right away and price bounced back 30-40 pips as of writing this {image} Would it be a good entry to go long after first hour of london closes with that long wick on H1 on top of support?
Ignored
First, thank you for posting your "failed" trade as it is from "failures" that WE learn the most.

I have duplicated your entry (blue arrow) on my trading chart - would you still have taken this trade if you were on my chart? The difference is you failed to identify the support and resistance level on H1 In fact I don't see any support and resistance levels on your chart.

The next is that you entered 6 candles late. PRICE had already dropped 20 pips, which, even though this is the most volatile pair, is a lot to "give away" on an M5 entry. You should have entered on the pull back marked by my "x".

thought to check for H1 SR afterwards

""afterwards????????" - We NEVER do anything ""afterwards""! Never trade any time frame without FIRST knowing where your support and resistance levels are!

Would it be a good entry to go long after first hour of London closes with that long wick on H1 on top of support?

There are 2 parts to this question:

Would it be a good entry to go long after first hour of London closes?

There are many traders who do not trade the opening hour of London and wait for PRICE to ""settle"" down. I can't help you with this as I have never traded London but hopefully others on here that do trade London will comment on this.

go long with that long wick on H1 on top of support?

Absolutely NOT! Do you know what that ""long wick"" is telling you?

Thanks again for posting your "failed" trade - make sure you UNDERSTAND and LEARN from it.

I will study this for a while. I drew the line of support on the second chart, the first just is left empty just to show how it looked liked when I thought it would be a nice short

that long lower wick on the H1, I see it as price encountering support
