So it took them about 5 months 16 days to pay. I'll keep this in mind for the future.

I never recieved ANY emails from FSCS about payment. Their communication sucks, but at least they paid.

YEAY - Got paid in lovely Dollars straight in to my USD account. For those who've spent the last few months slagging off the FSCS - eat your words - and be grateful that they're there to pick up the pieces on your behalf and at no cost to you. Over and out !

Complaining about the way in which something is done is not slagging of, its an opinion.
In this century we can not have a system in place that date back Pre - Computer age. Actions should be taken in a well-organized and competent way.

You must remember, some of us are full time traders. If i didn't pay my rent 6 months in advance, and had another trading account elsewhere i would be struggling to make ends meet.

What is worrying is those people who had no system in place like mine...

You treat your trading "as a business". Most people do not.

Did they email you beforehand or did you just check your account and see the payment there?

No they did not email me beforehand. I just checked my bank account after seeing people post here that they got paid and it was there.

I just checked my email account, no emails from fscs or kpmg.

Hi guys.

Just letting you know I got my money back today.

I am from the uk, so I lost about 5% because of the exchange rate conversion.

I didn't get an email beforehand, the money was just deposited via CHAPS payment into the account.

I confirmed my balance at the start of May, and fscs confirmed I was in the second tranche of payments 3 weeks ago when I phoned them.

The process has been slow, but we should all be thankful the uk is so well regulated otherwise we might never have seen our money again.

Hope that info helped some of you.

Stay patient, it should all be over soon.

V

Okay, I've managed to check and I've been paid as well. I'm down £500~. Not sure if that's down to conversion or what.

Are you serious guys? FCS is paying via wire transfer to everyone, they dont pay directly to the bank.
Seriously, every day a little more i think that the ppl here who is saying got payment are fsc member lying or something
The only sense this would have is that this ppl got the wire transfer from the first tranche and now after more than 2 months finally the money appears in their bank account?
Here not any email, not any money, and they didnt even answer to the email i sent asking if i was in the 2 tranche i sent the email to <[email protected] on 13 of july, not any answer not anything.
Seriously, this is a joke.

I posted exactly my situation several posts above you.

What flipping incentive do I have to lie? I am a bit annoyed that you are insinuated I (and others) are lying about their situation?

CHAPS payments are for UK accounts, accounts overseas that are paid by wire are probably going to take several days.

If you haven't got your money by Monday phone them, don't e-mail, phone.

I went with Dukascopy, a mistake. The European version is regulated in Latvia, it is a ticking time bomb regulation wise. The platform is having problems.

People say that Oando spreads are too high, maybe if you are a scalper, but they are hands down the best broker I have been with... better than Alpari (before Alpari went tits up.)

Been with Oando a few months now, not a single complaint thus far, which is unusual for me because I am very fussy.

Yeah if you want to go to Dukascopy, you have to make sure to invest with the Dukascopy that is regulated by the Swiss.
