I guess...all those who got emails...were funded. Since we haven't heard anyone new getting emails today, i think the first tranche is done.

Hello, is there here that non-European who have received an email or claim from the FSCS?

I have sent an email to KPMG few days ago, but only received a reply:


Dear Sir/Madam
Alpari (UK) Limited (in special administration) (the "Company")
I can confirm that you have agreed the balance of your claim with the Joint Special Administrators. Your claim has now been assigned to FSCS.

Please note that you will be contacted in due course should the Joint Special Administrators have any further documentation requirements regarding your claim.

Distribution of Money

The Joint Special Administrators intend to make a first interim distribution from the client money pool to client money claimants with agreed client money entitlements (the “First Client Money Distribution”). The last date for proving in order to receive the First Client Money Distribution 31 May 2015 ("Interim Proving Date"). The Joint Special Administrators intend to make the First Client Money Distribution within two months of the Interim Proving Date.

Please note, as you have agreed your claims in the Claims Portal no further action is required in respect of your claim at this time.

As you have assigned your claim to FSCS in the Claims Portal, you will receive your compensation payment directly from FSCS. Any distributions paid by the Joint Special Administrators in respect of your claim will be paid to FSCS and if the compensation payment from FSCS is the full amount of your claim, FSCS will retain these funds. However, if your claim is for more than £50,000, being the maximum amount FSCS will pay in compensation, then FSCS will pass on the distributions to you up to the value of your claim.

Nice to see the exchange rate is benefiting some of us, the ones with euro accounts... I guess at least we earn the interest for all this time with the money tied up, lol.

Some asian ppl are asking me on pm if FSCS/KPMG make any difference for euro ppl or abroad ppl in the queue. I would like to post in here some answer who may explain why your process is postponed or in a later stage. JUST IN MY OPINION DON'T TAKE THIS INFO AS OFFICIALS. thx.


Your claim amout is under a threshold limit?

Cause KPMG specifically said amount under 200-300$ will be processed as last compensation in the final stage due to the high fee for process little wire.
If your amount is more up and you have chosen FSCS there are some possibilities who explain why this delay is happening.

First: maybe when you agreed your claim KPMG requested an update on your data info or bank details. If you made an edit to one of this data that's why you are in the second tranche.

Don't worry for nationality FSCS and KPMG doesn't make any distinction about nationality. It's possible the first tranche was made only for European countries cause for REALLY LOW FEE for release the payment so is just a method for not pay a lot of fee on the first stage FOR A MASS WIRE not for the nationality but just cause a wire in SEPA area (europe) is possibly quite cheap than abroad. So just keep calm your claim will be released as soon as possible you should not worry. FSCS will compensate everyone with a regular claim on alpari uk and NATIONALITY IS NOT A PROBLEM AT ALL ALSO WHETHER YOU LIVE IN BURUNDI.

KPMG answered me that they assigned my balances to FSCS or as they wrote :

i've done a comparison script over broker spreads on mt5 accounts. fxpro did not look as good as activtrades. but thats just my test for a week of data. have a look maybe it benefits. Dont know about slippage/payouts.
worst is swissquote so wouldnt touch that after seeing the results. This shows the results. You have to divide the spreads by 10:

I use mt4, and avarage spread on it seem 1.5 on eurusd..i guess is quite normal...alpari was 1,8.

MT5 was almost always <1 with Alpari UK. ActivTrades seems to be quiet similar to these MT5 prices of Alpari but with better spreads on the Aussie.

I'm with Darwinex, too but so far only traded on demo-account. Very fast, low spreads during the day, wider on rollover. I will found on real-account tomorrow so I will be able to tell more in the near future.
For those who are still waiting I hope you will receive your money soon hopefully at an even better exchange-rate.
