short and long position at same time

I just see that with my platform, i cannot have a long and a short position a the same time with the same pair ?

it is just technical question ! can you do this ?

To answer your question, it depends on your broker.
I know that FXCM allows it, Oanda does not.
With oanda you can open a sub acct to your existing acct.
You can go long in the "main acct, and short in the "sub" acct.
