Hello everyone,

I am a US trader living out in Maryland. I want this journal to be completely different by making it video based. Every Monday and Friday I will be doing a 30-60 minute youtube stream about trading the forex market. Here, I'll be taking live trades and be covering technical and fundamental trading during the stream. As you can see from my myfxbook I know how to profit in trading and I will show you exactly how I do it during my streams.

I changed brokers in Oct 2017.
http://www.myfxbook.com/members/lilr...active/2271245

I'm also trading a personal friends account of over $123k. Yes, I already checked with the CFTC/NfA on trading this PERSONAL FRIEND account and it's all ok
http://www.myfxbook.com/members/lilr...active/2115757

I was trading a $39k live LMFX account but just recently moved to trading at the prop firm MaverickFX.
I use limited to NO indicators for my trading. You don't need them and I'll show you why.
I will not be looking to sell anything during my streams! This video blog is for education only!

Some of the aspects I'll be covering...

-Current market conditions
-How to profit on my chosen EURGBP and GBPCAD pairs consistently.
-Emotions and how to control them
-My current trades and WHY they were taken.
-Market outlook and specifics on the EURGBP GBPCAD pairs.
-Correct risk management that will keep you profiting over the long-term

I've been trading for 12 years. I've been an off and on professional trader for the past 3 years.
I hope to help people profit in this tough market by showing them what I do. I feel most just don't have the tools or correct advice to REALLY make things happen in trading. I'm here to change as much as possible. Getting people to think outside the box is the beginning of truly finding that edge that's needed to profit in this tough market.

Tune in Mondays and Firdays at 9:00 AM EST on my youtube channel. This is NOT a comercial youtube video blog. Only education! I will NOT be selling anything!

https://www.youtube.com/user/cubbybgood

I will be posting my latest video blog here on forexfactory.com with a short synopsis of what was talked about. I would love to get into discussions here on forexfactory about all things trading.

Well done bro! A good focus on what you want from your trading appears to be key to your strategy. Often times we listen to the noise of fellow traders rather than trade by our system and rules. Trade safe and prosper.

Thanks! Encouragement will help me continue the streams. I do want to help traders to find THEIR OWN EDGE. If it helps to copy or fallow what I do, that's great. I find the retail trading market is full of bad typical advice and want to encourage change and thought so more people have the opportunity to profit long-term.

So, ive watched your youtube and you clearly have a good understanding for the market.

Ive got a question to you, since ive tried to google it hand searched hear but cant find a clear answer.

When I looked around on forums ive found this sentence

"On intraday trendlines there is much more false signals as many who day trade are under funded and larger entities know this and can push markets to trigger stops then go other original directions, it is almost comical at times watching it, and of course am joining in to get a few ticks."

This "triggers stops" what does that mean? I understand that someone with a large wallet can manipulate the market to go to a direction, but what will he win to find someones stoploss? When ive googled it, ive found a term that when a stoploss hits it cause "liqudity" i dont understand that eaiter.

I would really appriciate if you could write some small post about this or maby make a short video about how this work? If you know how it work? And understand my question

Sorry for my bad english /RG

Sure!
Good questions.

So the idea of stop hunting is pretty old now and for the most part is a myth. Why? Brokers don't stop hunt because chances are, they just don't need to. 90-95% of retail traders lose money trading, so stop hunting is not necessary. it's known that stop hunting is/was something that can be done. If it is, it's more likely done at a Market Making broker. Market Makers can trade against clients. As a matter of fact, FXCM was just caught doing this. One reason they were banned from their US client base. So in reality, brokers don't need to stop hunt even if they are market makers. Market making would be tempting for a broker because most traders lose. I personally believe that some of them have secret offices and software to trade against their clients because it can be grossly profitable. In my opinion, brokers build their business model based on the majority losing. This is why it's said they don't like when certain clients are profitable but the reality is, losing clients largely out-way the winning clients.

Most brokers clam they are not market makers because it's unethical. It's against regulation in the US to market make but apparently that didn't stop FXCM. Lol

Regarding you're institutions driving the market question...

Yes, it is possible for them to push the market but honestly, they don't really care whats happening to use little retail trading guys. I mean, even the million+ retail accounts don't have much or if any any effect on market movement. These institutions drive billions into the market and it makes even a 1 million account seem like pocket change.

Honestly it's really hard to know what these institutions are doing. Are they working independently? Together? A combination of both? It's known that the majority of these institutions trade the market fundamentally but honestly, it's difficult to truly know.

I may talk a bit more about this in my next stream this Friday at 9 am EST. Stay tuned

Thanks very much for a very good answer!

So you mean that we retail traders that use stop lose rly dont move the market?

Ive seen meny times that when we break out from a resistence, like DAX today at 11,898 the index just kept going, and i thought it was cause majority got there stopplosses aorund there and when they go out, its like FUEL to the market. This isnt correkt?

No problem. Glad to help.

We really don't move the market as retail traders on SL's and TP's. Institutions are the ones that really drive the price and so forth. There is a lot of manipulation in the forex market though. For example, when positive news comes out for the USD you would think that would mean the USD would gain in value right? This is not always the case as institutions may have alternative reasons for holding, closing or opening their positions. This in turn is why in many think the market is random. Institutions need reasons to close their positions. If news numbers come out positive USD they then need to decide what that number means for the USD. Does it increase living conditions in the US and make things better for american finances and people? What kind of value does this news bring to the US? These are the just some of the questions Institutions need to work with on a daily bases.

It's possible some SL's were placed on the DAX at 12,000 but it also could be a number of other factors. This is a whole number. Institutions and other large funds look to whole numbers for increased volatility. The reason these numbers are volatile are because a lot of orders are going in and out of the market around these levels. One of 2 things will happen at 12,000. Ether a pullback/reversal or a blow right passed the level. Right now it's holding. We could see a pullback at this level. A small pullback could turn into a full on reversal or trend change. It's hard to say what will happen here but this is when players investing in the DAX need to be careful as at these levels anything can happen.

I see, thanks rly much, I starting to understand!

One last question, DAX is an INDEX that is supposed to mirror germenys 30 biggest company, so if every company goes up 1% the DAX INDEX goes up 1% right? If u buy 10 million shares in BMW, the DAX index will go up right?

So how come that we can move the market without buying shares in the big 30 companys? I mean, it sounds if the instutions buy big amount "dax" the market will go up, or have i understand it wrong?

Not so easy to write down my question, but heres a summery, can you move the dax even if you dont buy any shares in the 30 companys? If yes, how come?

Well, my expertise is spotfx. I'm not one to ask involved questions regarding the stock market. Although both forex and and stocks share some similarities, the in and outtake of orders are different. In the stock market you need a buyer to sell you're positions. The forex stakes or positions in the market are much more liquid then they are in the stock market. You don't need a buyer to sell you're position. It's one reason that attracted me to the forex market back years ago.

You might be better off asking someone other then myself about stock market questions
