Indicator: CMSM V23.05 Period: PERIOD_W1 Currency strengths are almost equal. No outstanding strength level/s so far. ☆☆☆ When strength levels are equal & there's no outstanding strength level/s that suppress others, it's better not to trade.

Sorry grandaevus, just for curiosity, if you don't mind, where are you located?

Yes, today I stayed on sidelines as well.

Although, it is interesting to observe how the different MA smoothing produces variations in suggestions. Here is EMA vs LWMA, LWMA strength values are way more pronounced. It would be interesting to observe if EMA is better for mid-term accuracy e.g. weekly trading vs LWMA for shorter end e.g. daily (or realistically up to 8 hours exposure)?

This's a very good example why ema smoothing should be chosen.

As you can see, values & suggestions produced by lwma are highly influenced by the results of last week. Those values do not represent the current situation.

USD & JPY were indeed extremely weak last week but not now. AUD was strong last week but can you say It's still strong this week.

{quote} Thank you! Very interesting indication! So you could also trade reverse. E.g. today we have very equal strengths values, like Buy cadjpy, Buy gbpusd, you could take in consideration a short if the pairs are on an area of a good resistance? Thank you

It seems that market is under consolidation today. US banks are also closed in observance of Columbus Day so trading would be risky.

{quote} All CMSM versions , ccfp and ccfp-diff look higher time frames to increase the accuracy of calculated strength levels and suggestions till CMSM ver 22 & 23. With the latest two CMSM versions (ver 22 , 23) , now core logic traces lower time frames. This is the main difference. I believe, we would get better results with this new approach.

Many thanks, grandaevus, for the new versions v22/23...! Did a short test today with v22.01 on H4 and VB start 11:30h GMT:

Many thanks, based on what can be observed from todays daily suggestions, I agree that EMA is more prudent approach as some of the LWMA morning suggestions would have resulted wrong way exposure to the market.

Here is the current daily comparison whereas EMA is far more prudent e.g. do nothing.

Broker: Admiral Markets, demo account
EA: v88

Default Daily RB triggered at 10:07GMT. Pairs have been added during day, now there are 9 in the basket, despite Max Trades limited to 8. So there is a bug in v88.

Basket has been sitting flat up to -0.5% for most part of the day, now in -1% DD. Lets see what remaining 2 hours bring. Really hope it does not end up with 4th StopLoss in a row.

EDIT: Good news, 2.5% profit target hit at 14:55GMT:thumbsup:

The max trades bug was addressed and fixed long ago in subsequent versions. v88 is an old version with many things updated and fixed since then. I would suggest always using the latest version uploaded by Jess.

I have been using v93 and have not encountered any bugs (based on the way I use it) and is the most stable version currently.

Thanks but v89 and upwards have demonstrated recurring problems with the VBasket so I will stick to v88 for now, even it throws in odd deal once in a while.

You are using wrong indicator for mrdfx daily basket which should be 17.02 or 17.03. 21.xx is PA not MA based.

well, yes it's PA based. so it's not exactly the mrdFX set, a case for comparison
