are you using Price Weighted? I'm sure you've mentioned it somewhere but I can't seem to find it.....and believe me I looked. I have about 50 posts written down of yours...haha. BUT.....what is the difference between v17.03 and v 23.05? I know Mrdfx is using Closed Price and I believe you are using Weighted Price

Yes, I use weighted price.

Ver 22 (pice action based cmsm) and ver 23 (ma based cmsm) use a new core logic.

Much appreciated for continuous improvements!

I see that Period Multiplier is gone and could you shortly explain what does Lower Time Frames Search Depth do? The larger the number, the less suggestions there seems to be.

What is your view on the MA method: LWMA gives better responsiveness to EMA as I have witnessed, also with the same trade level, it produces more trade suggestions. Any drawbacks?

In this methodology, the LWMA is preferred option, even though EMA is available.

Many thanks,

what does Lower Time Frames Search Depth do?
Default setting is 3 which means CMSM look the next three lower frames that just come after the chosen main time frame.
So if you choose PERIOD_WEEKLY, then CMSM will look the ma action @ D1, H4 and H1 time frames in mt4 and D1, H12, H8 time frames in mt5.

Without a bullish H1 candle/s, you can't get a bullish H4 candle. And without a bullish H4 candle/s, you can't get a bullish D1 candle. And finally without a bullish D1 candle/s, you can't get a bullish W1 candle.

Accuracy of strength levels & trade suggestions are highly approved with this new concept.

I prefer EMA because it can adapt itself to the direction of trend change better than any other ma methods. LWMA is not bad but i still prefer EMA to LWMA.

I've been away for awhile, thanks for the constant and freely shared updates, much appreciated.

I see that for intra-day traders, FINVIZ is actually pretty good, in fact, exactly the same conclusion as CMSM

Cheers

All CMSM versions , ccfp and ccfp-diff look higher time frames to increase the accuracy of calculated strength levels and suggestions till CMSM ver 22 & 23.

With the latest two CMSM versions (ver 22 , 23) , now core logic traces lower time frames.

This is the main difference.

I believe, we would get better results with this new approach.

Here's what I found from Grandaevus past posts on how he uses the CMSM indicator manually. There is also some information that is useful. I don't know if he's still trading like this or changed versions of the indicator but the last I read from this thread was that he was using CMSM 20.03. (It will be nice if he gave us an update on what he's using these days and how's he's using it). Search for these posts..... 14,945 14,946 14,961 14,962 15,550 15,606 15,675 16,642 16,650 16,661 17,440 18,504 Edit: Mrcubl basically has it pegged in his post above....

Indicator: CMSM V23.05
Period: PERIOD_W1

Currency strengths are almost equal. No outstanding strength level/s so far.

☆☆☆ When strength levels are equal & there's no outstanding strength level/s that suppress others, it's better not to trade.

Thank you!
Very interesting indication!
So you could also trade reverse.
E.g. today we have very equal strengths values, like Buy cadjpy, Buy gbpusd, you could take in consideration a short if the pairs are on an area of a good resistance?
Thank you
